Posted on 04/07/2017 4:09:26 PM PDT by MNDude

Trumps recent strike on Syria seems to have surprised many of us. Which of the following is your position?

A. President Trump was right to attack Syria for the gas attacks. B. I wish Trump did not attack Syria.

According to Tillerson the administration knows exactly where the Sarin gas is stored at the airport. He says the last attack was the third, not the first. This isn’t new, they been watching for a while. They know what kind of Syrian bomber flew the mission and that it was loaded at that airport. They know the name of the pilot. They know the Russians were present when the bombs were loaded.

The Security Council approved the strike unanimously. That sounds like people acting on intel that’s as good as it gets, which doesn’t mean perfect, as none is.

I’m guessing Israel can be thanked for a lot of this information.

Can you provide some sources for these facts? Thanks.

Using chemical weapons is beyond the pale. Assad needed a spanking for that. I think President Trump did it just about right.

NO. If it was that important of an operation in the Middle East, some other county over their with their own air force coulda taken care of it. Like Saudi Arabia.

I personally haven't decided how I feel about Trump's action yet. But I have to ask if you're serious here. Saudi Arabia? I have to point out that like most Arab militaries they can't hit anything they're aiming at. They have trouble getting bombs to hit the damned ground.

A...but with a caveat. As long as it was strictly punitive and doesnt lead to US involved in ground combat in Syria.

With as much good as he’s done already and as hard as things have been for him, I’m still for our President.

. Christians in Syria want Assad! Non-Christians making our foreign policy don’t give sh*t about little Christian girls sold into sex slavery and forced Islamic conversion. They view Christian lives as not all that important, especially when considered as acceptable sacrifice for neocon geostrategic goals.

I think very few people have seen the pictures of Christian crucifixions that have occurred in “moderate rebel” controlled areas of Syria :(

And apparently Mr. Trump’s SecDef Jim Mattis changed mind on the poll:

https://theintercept.com/2017/04/07/donald-trumps-own-defense-secretary-warned-in-2013-against-rushing-to-war-against-syria/

He changed his mind from last week when he said Assad was voted in twice, would be in for some time...now talking regime change.

Wow. You asked a simple question. You would think only a few would be unable to answer it. But the number of FReepers who could not answer this is amazing. Sad commentary on FReepers.

Yeah the Saudis. They coulda tried. Same goes for Turkey. The mid east can take care of their own problems, or live with their own problems. Otherwise, if Islam leads to such terrible destruction then maybe people should stop being Islamic.

B, because it has been clear for several years that the western globalist establishment has targeted Assad’s Government as the next phase in their regional destabilization .... and hyped a proven false flag chemical attack several yelaunched by the ‘good’ alQaeda/al Nusra/ISIS terrorists.

A, after listening to the Israeli side of the chemical attack story describing how a Syrian pilot had been using sarin gas against the CIA-backed ‘rebels’ (Islamic mercenaries recruited from all over the world)

B, after hearing expert input that the forensics of the victims did not substantiate sarin .....

Currently worrying whether the President has abandoned the core values of his support base.....”from now on nationalism, not globalism, shall be our credo”

The war which the globalist desire with Russia is not in the interest of the American people. Sadly, some children died horrifically in Syria....Trump’s over-reaction only increases the possibility of a Sino-Russian-Iranian-North Korean launched nuclear attack on the United States as WWIII evolves.....
