Yawn. I loved the original trilogy, and had no use for the prequels (why did Lucas think we needed to see the beginning of a story whose middle and ending we'd already seen?). I saw The Force Awakens and found it to be merely a remake of the first SW movie with PC adjustments so that women and minorities got to save the day.

At this point, if Luke decides to go to the dark side and change his gender while he's at it, I couldn't care less.

I seem to be the only one who remembers this, but when the original trilogy came out, Lucas explained that he shot Episodes 4 through 6, then would film Episodes 1 through 3, and finally Episodes 7 through 9, so Luke/Mark Hammill would have enough time to age naturally to play the villain in the final trilogy.

Shortly, thereafter, Lucas began saying that we were mistaken and that he never said he planned to do a trilogy of trilogies, but I swear I remember him laying this out during one interview.

More likely, the strict restrictions on the Jedi kept them from keeping balance in the force. How can you tend to people when you have no feelings? If anything, I think they will become Gray, using both peace and passion to accomplish the aims of their order.
