Just came across on Fox Business. Aaron Hernandez is dead! Hung himself with his bed sheet in his cell. Edited to add. Daily Mail and other sources.

Wow, he’s dead? Damn.
If he was already in for life, why did they bother to try him for these other murders?
And if he was gonna exit stage left, why not do it before hand, could have saved the taxpayers a lot of money.
Sad story, here’s a GD millionaire star athlete, he could have lived it up but instead he kept living his life as if he never made it out of the hood, caps his homie for some stupid reason, not even smart enough to hire someone to get rid of the body. Just a retard sociopath I guess.

It’s true. I’m in the Boston area and am listening to WRKO. The only question is was it really suicide, or was it prison justice?
Another interesting side angle is that Michelle McPhee reported on WEEI on Monday that Aaron Hernandez is actually gay, Odin Lloyd learned of it and talked out about it, and that is why Hernandez killed him. Maybe the outing was too much for him.

This is a classic tragedy on several levels. Talented young man with everything going for him makes horrible life choices and ruins multiple lives in addition to his own. Man was monumentally stupid.

According to Massholechusetts law, because he was killed during his appeal (for the first murder), his conviction will be vacated.

He was found not guilty of those two murders earlier this past week.

I do not respect murderers, and I think in most circumstances they should get the death penalty.
My thinking here is appropriate and shared by most FReepers... If I’m a “miserable human being” then so are most people who post here.
And true, I’m a bad Christian. A sinner actually. I’m usually sorrowful for that, but for the remarks I made I am not.
The remarks I made where the word’s Jesus used to express how the powerful who gleefully ruin other people’s lives get their just rewards. Lazarus, the poor crippled begger who the rich man mistreated, went to Heaven and the rich man to Hell. The rich man remembered Lazarus and begged him to fetch him water, which he could not do, as the barrier between Heaven and Hell can not be crossed.
How in the life of Hernandez is this any different? He was rich beyond belief, a top star and athlete, and turns out, a “gansta”. He had a man killed who “disrespected” him.
Please think about this. Life is often horrible and short, due to the evil in others. Hernandez was evil.
May God have mercy on his soul.
Because the victim's families deserve justice.
SOMEONE murdered them, that was a fact.
The issue was who? The authorities believed it was Hernandez, but could not establish that beyond a reasonable doubt.
I save my sorrow for the victims and their families. They'll always have a massive tear in their hearts until they pass.
I've had a loved one taken from my live by a murderer, and I absolutely empathize with the victim's families.
I sometimes think of my sister and the good times we had as kids, but then remember she died a brutal and horrible death and justice was never served. Her death of many years ago is a cold case.
Just finished listening to the dean of the MA School of Law on 98.5 FM:
EVERY CRIMINAL CHARGE will be vacated AND Hernandez’s family will be entitled to BOTH his CONTRACT $$$$ AND his NFL PENSION.
Wow... Crime does pay.
