Really? Even with presidential timber the Pebble?!
Looking at those titles does not give me terribly much motivation to head to the nearby movie theatre (have not done so since “The King’s Speech” a few years ago now).
How could “Baywatch” not be horrid?
Dwayne Johnson is cute, though.
Ever since the time when “Memorial Day Mattress Sales” have been spoken about more times than what Memorial Day really means, Hollywood can do many, many quick hand exercises in their closets, and it won’t mean a thing.
Well, there’s a cool shark flick coming in June if you want to hold your breath. Titled 47 Meters Down. Two water babies at risk of becoming fish food.
HA HA!
Dwayne Johnson is not an actor. Hes just a guy being himself. Great wrestler but horrible actor.
Has the “remake old action series as a broad comedy movie” trend ever produced a hit? Maybe the Cameron Diaz “Charlie’s Angels,” But that was more an action film with comedic overtones.
“well, starring in clinker movies got Reagan to the White House...”
We saw Alien Covenant over the weekend. It was laughably bad. But first we sat through 20 minutes of what seemed like the same, long trailer of things blowing up.
I really liked Lost City of Z.
homowood homofornia will eventually offer the excuse that they didn’t put enough homo into ‘baywatch da movie’ to make it a success.
How could a movie with Dwayne Johnson in it fail?
My wife and I saw King Arthur last week and enjoyed it. It is a very fanciful story but good.
Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Johnny Depp;
all three overexposed, overly familiar to the public.
Dwayne as been very successful portraying that one Wrestlemania-type character in different settings and with different dialog. He’s 45 y/o, and may want to explore a new twist on movie roles. Otherwise, he keeps moving into Hulk Hogan or Mister T territory, a blustery, over the hill jive talker, locked into a shallow parody figure. Although there is money to be made in playing the parody.
It was generally watched with the sound off.
It is no surprise that a movie based on it would be a flop.
Will not be seeing either one. While I enjoyed the first two Pirates movies, the third one really was bad.
Baywatch, I never even watched the TV show. I give Hasselhoff credit for putting out a syndicated TV show that was, for a time, wildly successful, but what a lightweight show. The movie promos looked horrible and Zac Effron is the last person I would have used in this picture.
