Five burglars are arrested in the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office and apartment complex in Washington, D.C. James McCord, Frank Sturgis, Bernard Barker, Virgilio Gonzalez, and Eugenio Martinez were apprehended in the early morning after a security guard at the Watergate noticed that several doors leading from the stairwell to various hallways had been taped to prevent them from locking. The intruders were wearing surgical gloves and carrying walkie-talkies, cameras, and almost $2,300 in sequential $100 bills. A subsequent search of their rooms at the Watergate turned up an additional $4,200, burglary tools, and electronic bugging equipment.

Did History.com commemorate the 40th anniversary of Bill Ayers’ bombing of the Pentagon? Er no, 2012 was a re-election year for Boom Boom Bammy who was pals with the bomber.

John F.T.A. Kerry’s so-called anti-war group plotted to assassinate politicians in the 1970s until they could get support for the war to end.

Democrats wanted to impeach Richard Nixon long before Watergate. They wanted him impeached in his first term.

People acted as if Nixon was paranoid that the media was “out to get him”.

Not like we aren’t seeing that same crap play out today from a conspiratorial media colluding with criminal Democrats (Hello, Comey).

Roger Mudd wrote in his autobiography that the CBS Newsroom in Washington was fired up that Saturday. The limited staff available (two reporters) were each assigned stories about the burglary. A CBS staffer-producer was prodding other media to cover the story.

“Washington Post” reporter Bob Woodward was a younger less experienced staffer given the Saturday work schedule and he began to dig into the story and was joined by Carl Bernstein.

The television networks salivated at every word they printed and envied them for their work.

Nixon and the media were at war with each other pretty much since 1969. The media was biased but in the end Richard Nixon had to ‘take responsibility’ for the actions of his men that he did not know about.

I used to know a woman who worked as a typist in the White House during the Nixon years. She claimed that both sides (dems/repubs) were constantly stealing stuff from each other.

She recalled a time when she typed up stuff to be used in a Congressional hearing (about the EPA). She put it in the safe for the night, and the next day Democrats at the hearing already knew (and used) what was in the document.

She said these dirty tricks were quite commonplace those days.

People need to wake up. What Trump is going through is nothing new.
Nixon was the one being spied upon and it was the will of the electorate that was subverted.

The Atlantic - Nixon and the Chiefs

In the last days of 1971 President Richard Nixon and his closest aides met to discuss the astonishing discovery that the Joint Chiefs of Staff had been spying on the White House.

It should come as no surprise that Woodward given his Naval Intelligence background was the one to "break' Watergate the story.

Kennedy and the King - Bob Woodward

Lisa Pease poses the question concerning Woodward's intelligence links, which would explain the role he and Bernstein wittingly or unwittingly played in keeping the CIA's nose clean while making sure the world saw the President's nose was dirty.

Judge John Sirica’s best friend, the boxer Jack Dempsey, not only was married to a prostitute, he actually owned brothels like Donna’s Ranch in Nevada. Jack Dempsey was a a regular patron at Polly Adler’s brothel in New York—a brothel that hosted a young Katherine Graham in the 1940s!

Jack Dempsey was a noted Democrat celebrity who campaigned and fund-raised doe LBJ and Humphrey. He was also known as a Mob courier who took cash from the casinos in Havana to Miami.

From Deborah Davis acknowledgements in her book Katherine the Great:

“For tales about the infamous Tony’s Speakeasy in New York, thanks go to boxing champion Jack Dempsey for his memories of the saloon. I also thank him for his tales about Polly Adler’s famous bordello on West 54th Street. America’s most infamous madam also provided information about Kate’s (Katherine Graham) sole visit to her house, accompanied by Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley.

Around the time of Watergate, rumors in DC were rife about prostitution rings that were black-mailing judges and top attorneys in Washington DC.

I see that CNN has hired John Dean as a panelist to impugn Presidents Trump and Nixon.

Very Fake News CNN

The "now" esteemed felon John Dean served 4 months of a 2 year sentence and was disbarred as a lawyer.

What are you talking about? Where did you get that insane theory? Why would President Nixon resign to protect John Dean’s wife?

I didnt' say Nixon resigned to protect Dean's wife. I was merely reminding everyone that there were allegations that Dean's wife was running an escort service and Dean was worried the Dems had embarrassing info about her.
