It actually wouldn’t be any worse for dial-up users (are there really any left?!). The problem isn’t with the amount of data being transferred, it’s in difficulty parsing the database. I go back and forth between 3G and 4G (on the road) and cable (at home) and the page load times are roughly comparable in terms of increased latency. I sure do hope they get it figured out soon!
Not a Freeper per Se, but I noticed that the funds raising marathon, is perpetual. One is over, the next one is right behind it.
Doing some mathematics, it looks like FR is in need of upward of $350,000 + a year to function.
Some other web sites similar in content, never asked for contributions and are functioning extremely well. Just asking....
We have an attacker who’s been hitting us pretty hard in the afternoons for the last four or five days. John’s having a devil of a time permanently blocking him/them.

Well I wouldn't know, not residing within a Hindu god myself, but it's pretty damn slow here in SoCal.
I am having the exact same problem. Only FR, all other site load immediately. Cleared my Cache, tried another browser, etc. FR is a simple Text page, no graphics no redirects to other sites, it should load 100 times as fast as a Foxnews for example. Don’t know whats going on, wish the Moderators would post something, it getting more and more frustrating.

I just meant the site loads fine, my posts too. I haven’t noticed anything wrong with it. Other than the few days the sits was down a wile back and I couldn’t get my FR fix
