Sorry I have to say this. But FR has become nearly unusable these days.
You used to have a feeling that within 30 seconds to a minute, your page would be resolved and loaded.
But no more. I don't know how many times lately, I have hit refresh or picked a new thread only to wait and wait and wait and then I give up and go to another site.
The powers that be recommend limiting your window options to twenty. My reply is, if that's the problem, the just taking the option away and making it twenty should be the solution.
And I know about DOS attacks - they can easily be filtered by a front-end server - so that shouldn't be a problem.
Anyways, whatever it is, it's getting series. And Hugh!

Yep, it is down/barely up, pages not loading, timeouts, etc. Jim said something about maintenance the other day but nothing since that I have seen. Probably never get better under current arrangement of remote server re, weekend/evening trips, no redundancy, ignoring cloud solutions, etc. it is what it is.
I am ongoing contributed, doesn’t give me better, more consistent access or info.
Frustrating.

It is getting ridiculous that sport sites and other news sites with all their multi media and popups/popunder load lickety split, while FR is like slogging through chest high mud with a 70# back pack, going the distance of 100 yrds just to watch paint dry.
This is the best conservative forum out there and this slower than a herd of turtles in January stuff has to be hurting FR’s ability to grow and is actually causing attrition.

I do this kinda stuff for a living. A lightweight site like this should load in ONE second, tops.

FR definitely needs some IT upgrades.
Pages refuse to load and there is no sidebar.
It’s gotten to the point where even resetting preferences to 20 does not help.
What a shame. Have counted on FR for valuable information for over twelve years. Hopefully, TPTB will find a solution soon.

It comes and goes off and on couple tomes a day. Today it has been a little better than yesterday and the day before.
No DOS, this is equipment and configuration.
Try logging out and then sign in again. Worked twice for me.
