I agree, but I don't think this is a symptom of what you describe.

I see this as part of the inevitable decline of any large organization that doesn't adhere to its founding mission. You can see the same thing happening with many non-profit organizations in the U.S.

Heck -- Didn't the founder of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) come out in recent years and publicly call MADD a farce?

I’m in a state of complete confusion. On the one hand I am told there is really no difference between the sexes beyond social constructs and conditioning. Then along comes a story like this which indicates there are indeed differences based on biological factors and the claim is being made by one of the foremost Feminist organizations out there, the Girl Scouts. I just can’t keep up with it all anymore.

My son went to some cub scout camps where some of the camp oounselors/leaders were girls in programs affiliated with the boy scouts. These included explorers, sea scouts, and some other programs I do not recall. I spoke with some of them and they seemed like really fine young people with some direction in their lives.

If the Boy Scouts have more interesting activities plus the opportunity to be around the opposite sex, how are the Girl Scouts going to compete?

I expect that they will accuse the BSA of being “sexist” because it is not discriminating on the basis of sex.
