Just take up 2 out of 3 boards. They can be easily replaced after the storm.

That's what we did when I was a boy. Never had the pilings wash up.

From my tag line you can tell I’m up in Marietta. My wife just cleaned out and filled old 2l and gallon plastic bottles and put them in the Freezer. Put a bunch of 1l bottles in the refrigerator downstairs. I’m not worried at all but “The Boy Scout Motto” has stayed with me for fifty years.

sadly, Irma will wreck Georgia’s fall PECAN harvest..
Soil is water saturated. Big winds will waste the groves, knocking down trees & stripping nuts. A huge harvest at risk.
Prayers for Georgia’s farmers

Quite a few Florida plates passed me on I26 around Columbia just now.

One of those Fla plates on I26 today is coming back from the west coast after hiking in snow on Rainier in July.

Columbia, SC seems like a good place to stop until the insanity stops. I95 heading north or south is not the place to be whenever zillions of others are wanting to be there too. Whenever the presstitutes tell the masses Atl might see 90 mph hurricane winds, as a minimum, controlled panic will result. It's like yelling fire in a theater.

Wide-spread Power outages will linger throughout the state.

Stone Mountain here. I may get to test my theory that the Mountain gives us some protection from storms. Bad rainstorms and tornados seem miss us most of the time.
