Who were the sponsors? I didn’t watch so I’m curious.
I’ve noticed over the last 10 years that all of these awards shows have gotten lower and lower ratings as they go more and more political. Won’t be long before they’ll be being broadcast on some obscure cable channel.
Not sure. I didn’t watch either.
In the early days the Oscar ceremony was just a big dinner.
Eat crap and bark at the moon Mr.Col bert it is you who are sinking not us.

I watched Fear the Walking Dead last night. If they put Zombies in the audience of the Emmy’s they would starve to death looking for brains to eat.
That’s a huge drop from last year’s record lows. I wonder what would happen if (1) Hollywood made decent movies, and (2) the awards shows stayed on the entertainment topic rather than compulsively bashing half of the audience over politics.
Oscars started in 1953 being televised.
I would suggest that within four years...it’ll end up at some cable network...like Hallmark or CNN.
Or just streamed over Facebook.
I’d really like to know the age demographics on this. Are there any young people who still watch these award shows? This really has to be an audience full of really old cat ladies, doesn’t it?
Showbuzz Daily has the breakdown of the audience. It does look like older cat ladies were the main audience. :D

GQ present the Emmys with host Keith Olbermann.
Special guest star Michael Moore.
Haha. True. :D
I think this is because of next year’s election or Hurricane Jose.
Oscars started in 1927. The dinner ceremony style was in those early years. Once it got on tv it became a show in a theatre.
TOTAL FREAK SHOW
Orville has only been on two weeks. How steady did they expect the show to be? My wife and I recorded Orville to watch later and deleted the recording after 30 seconds. Perhaps we didn't give it enough time last night, but it was quite asinine.
