Todd Gurley is begging Los Angeles fans to come to Rams home games

The Los Angeles Rams are arguably the most surprising story of the first quarter of the NFL's season, jumping out to a 3-1 record and looking like an entirely different franchise from the lethargic team we saw in 2016.

On Sunday, they went on the road and beat the Cowboys in Dallas, serving notice for their candidacy to surprise in the NFC this season.

Now they just need the fans of Los Angeles to show up to the games. Running back Todd Gurley, who is a viable MVP candidate through the first four weeks of the season, appeared on the "Rich Eisen Show" and literally begged the people of Los Angeles who are Rams fans to attend this weekend when they play the Seahawks.

"Please come to our games! Please come to our games!," Gurley said...

My ex-brother-in-law and a-hole extraordinaire is named Todd. I nicknamed him Retodd. Say it out loud.

(Honestly, me personally, I prefer watching football to baseball. The only thing that bothers me is that now we know that playing football for a few years (maybe even as a teen) might predispose a guy to dementia, and that isn’t worth it. I’d like to see the game altered some or the brain protection improved)

Well Cam Newtons’ idiotic comments won’t help.
Now, to qualify, what he said is dead on, it IS funny to hear women, most of whom have never played organized football in their lives, making comments about the mechanics of the game.
However, since the NFL have decided that their idiot players are the standard bearers of “Social Just-us” THEY will now have an even bigger microscope pointed at them.
BTW will the NFL now sever ties with entertainers who have a history of insensitive lyrics that might be “triggering”?

Seems like the bulk of them are already suffering from dementia.

L.A. is not a football town, it’s a soccer town.

It's a hockey town now, go Kings!

The other thing, I think is the statdium they are currently playing in is HUGE... it seats officially 93,000 plus... Even if they had reasonable attendance of 50 or 60,000 per game, the stadium will still be insanely empty.

Heinz Field for example officially seats 64,000 or so, a full 1/3 less than where the rams are playing. And this is a team with one of the most loyal fan bases in the NFL.

Yes, there are bigger statdiums... Cowboys seats 100k, Green Bay seats 81k or something like that.. but these are all teams that have been in the same towns for insanely long times....

Combine that with the fact that the LA now has 2 teams, not one, Chargers and Rams, you are going to see cannibalization. Last year the Rams actually had reasonable attendance figures, for a first year team, not great, but not bad.

The SJW nonsense probably doesn’t help, but the Rams problems are more to do with rebuilding the brand in a new town with a far to large stadium and another competitor , even if crappy, in the same market.

If the Rams keep winning, I’d expect their attendance to grow, but still I think it will be a LONG time before they can consistently fill a 100k stadium .

What is this ‘Sunday football’ you speak of?
As far as I know ‘football’ is only played on Saturday.

How much of the money for a new stadium in Los Angeles is from the taxpayers. Ditto for the stadium in Las Vegas. It would seem to be low hanging fruit for a boycott or legal challenge.

“Now we know that playing football causes dementia”?

Treat the news of this like Global Warming news. When there is a double blind study of people who DIDN’T play football alongside players, that is the acceptable standard for the scientific method. With the near epidemic in Alzheimers/dementia among the elderly and middle aged, it could be environmental pollution, even fluoride or chlorine meant to help humans live better lives.

They should go for three.

In a way, they did. Wasn't the situation with the Raiders an "either/or" decision with the Chargers?

Anyway, I wonder what the Raiders think about that Las Vegas decision now?!

Beg. Crawl like the dog that you are. I wouldn’t come to your stupid game if you bought me dinner afterward.
