I remember watching my first Hitler Video in 2008 when Hitler ranted about Palin’s VP nomination by McCain.

This “Hitler YouTube” meme comes from the German movie “Downfall”, a docudrama about the last days of the Third Reich. It earned acclaim and some movie awards but was totally ignored outside of Europe....until....it became a meme on YouTube.

For a while, the producers of the movie were pissed that outsiders were using their movie without permission. YouTube took these segments down in 2011 but were soon asked by the movie owners to allow them again.

Why? Because it was like FREE ADVERTISING!!!! DVD and BlueRay sales spiked due to the increased exposure!!!

Southern Airways, which for absorbed into Eastern Airways, flew WWII surplus DC-3s for decades. The puddles of oil on the tarmac under the engines always disturbed me.
