1938 Buick Special...

Man, that's a whole lotta iron! You could just about live in that car. I dig the engine swap.

My first car was a 1967 Isuzu Bellet. I pushed it farther than I drove it.

They did not have room to keep it around for 2 years, so I said good bye and I cried—a lot. ;(

Sadly, this is not an uncommon story. Perhaps we should form a support group. ;)

A few years ago, I read an article in Hot Rod magazine where some fella shoehorned a short block V-8 into one. He did have to beef-up the chassis, though. :D

Not much better than the license-built Hillman Manx that it was meant to replace.

1968 Buick Electra 225 Limited. 430 with a 4 barrel. Loaded. Power everything. AKA “the deuce and a quarter”. Had it airborne once. Still take it out for a spin some nights in my dreams.

Mine was a 74 Saab 99LE, kind of quirky, but I really liked it.. This was before GM destroyed SAAB.

1959 Chevy 4 door w no back seat, 235 6 cyl w 3 on the tree and it cost $50..
Previous owner was a house painter and he mixed paint on the flat fins so there was lots of spilled paint that gave it character.
Ran like a sewing machine and I drove it everywhere.
I really loved that car, lots of memories

It was 1972. First car was a 2-door 1964 Olds Dynamic 88, in copper:

Had a 330 cubic inch, automatic, that was very quick on acceleration.

Was my older brother's car. Got it up to 110,000 miles and then sold it back to him.

*** “1961 white Pontiac Catalina” ***

My second car was a black ‘61 Catalina ... way too much power for a 16 year old on bald bias ply tires ... it was a beautiful car, wish I still had it, those puppies are rare now.

1963 MGB. Would only jump start, but was light enough to do such, and I lived on a small incline, so I could get it running when it was dry.

My first car was a 1970 Chevelle, which in 1980 I bought for—wait for it—$550!

When I left for Georgia Tech in 1983, I sold it for—wait for it—$750!
