If Roy Moore was guilty as charged, I'd still support him because.... (VANITY)

IF (Big IF) Judge Roy Moore was guilty; if he came out today and announced every charge against him was true, I'd still support him and vote for him if I lived in Alabama. Here's why.

1. His record of a conservative politician is outstanding. His many years of service to the State of Alabama far outweighs any stupid actions he may have committed nearly 40 years ago.

2. His past sexual antics pale in comparison to the actual perversions of the average democrat. In a world where Joe Biden, both Bill and Hillary, Bob Menendez (just to name a few current sleazy democrats) get away currently with far greater creepy activites, why not forgive Moore and support him?

3. I would support Moore just to piss off the RINO's who orchestrated and coordinated this smear campaign against Judge Moore. Losers like Mitch McConnell should not get away with this.

Sorry, my earlier post was awkwardly worded.

Many here for years have claimed that character matters. I've always posited that if it came down between a dem and a morally challenged person who otherwise met our worldview, we'd take the morally challenged person. I was told I was so wrong. Moral character would trump all else. Your post shows that at least for you, I was correct. That character only mattered when it further destroyed a democrat.

Bizarre thinking. So because McConnell is scum...you’ll defend a pedo?

I'm old enough to remember when an accusation of pedophilia required real proof before one could be called a pedophile.

What Bizarre thinking that was, huh?

Well in fact, no. If he suddenly admitted that everything alleged is correct, then he’s been lying up to now. Lying is a character issue. Lying means he is still morally challenged.

As of 2000, you could get married in Alabama at 14. It was subsequently raised to 16.

You got a point.

Lying is a character flaw.

So. If he’s a liar, then we conservatives do what we always do.

Hold our nose and vote for the lesser of two evils.

The majority of the media and politicians on both sides of the aisle do not have a vote in Alabama. They really ought to hush and allow Alabama get on with its election and support of Judge Moore who is against the murder of babies. On that issue alone, Alabama will vote for Moore. Add all the other liberal excrement Jones supports, I expect a solid victory for my Constitutional supporting candidate.

I would vote for him simply because if these accusations cause his loss then they will do the same to anyone, especially Trump.

BTW the accusations don’t show factually that he broke the law but are to create the narrative that he did.

Also, I do not believe the accusers any way.

Because watching cable news talking heads explode live on-air is the most entertaining thing on TV since the NFL decided to destroy itself.

You’re the one with the bizarre thinking. You pretty much stated and convinced he IS a pedo.

I’m going by the topic’s premise. It states “If Roy Moore was guilty”.

HE IS NOT A PEDO. You are a liar and casting false aspersions on a good man. You’re as bad as the media.

I’m voting Roy Moore on Dec 12, NO MATTER WHAT.

I (financially) supported Moore after the allegations started.

This is an “October Surprise” - defined as an ambush of a politician who advocates for good policy about 4 weeks before an election.

There could be something to the allegations - or there could be nothing but a conspiracy against the voters of Alabama (of which I am not one). But whether or not there is something to the allegations, for sure it is a conspiracy against the voters of Alabama. Because it was intended to deprive the voters of Alabama of the opportunity to vote for an advocate of good policy.

Not only is it that, it is also an attempt on the right of all voters to do likewise - in the sense that it will discourage good people from standing for political office in the first place.

It would be different if there were any indication that the issue were both true and a present danger to someone. That factor is not even seriously alleged.

Mr. Moore was a Democrat at the time of the alleged offenses; Mr. Moore’s opponent now is a Democrat. Who knows but that his opponent is worse than Mr. Moore is now?

The only standard Democrats hold for their politicians is that they toe the Liberal line.

About time we followed their lead.

Big ol’ Plus One on that!

I still get a kick out of the MSM reaction on election night. As well as the sobs, tears and screams of agony from the Hillary supporters.

Actually it changed from 14 to 16 in 2003.

Born and raised in Bama. Finished high school in 1973 so was around 1968 or so when I was in 7th grade. Had 13 yo classmate that got married with her parent’s permission. We all thought she was nuts, but it happened.

YOU read it. It says “guilty as charged” NOT “is a pedophile.” People like YOU are why I don’t travel to Yankeeland anymore. Your lies and false witness will be judged one day.

I am very jealous of you being born & raised in our great state. I was born in WV, so I am a son of the South, but obviously not a native Alabamian. I got here as soon as I could, though, and now own land in the backwoods. Love it.

Despite any unproven accusations, no matter if they may have a thread of truth, I hope Christians in Alabama can be brave enough to share your view and elect Judge Moore to the Senate.

Didn’t I tell you to leave the thread?

Didn’t you get flamed by a dozen other FReepers for your ignorance.

I see you’ve gone on to another thread and are keeping up the lies about Moore and prepubescent children.

You do know by now that is what pedophilia means, right? So. Here you still are claiming that Moore has the hots for little girls. 8 and 10 year old girls.

You’re a creep and a jerk. Eff off loser.
