According to the church’s pastor, the sign has been up for about a year. Fox News:

Associate Pastor Allen Hawes told FOX 13 Tampa the sign has been up for over a year at the non-denominational church, but garnered attention after Senior Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne posted it on his Instagram account.

Be happy that the church is making you aware of who you are assembling with and allowing you to choose. Find a church with a "gun free zone" sign if you prefer. Those are also allowed and protected (by law if not by citizens).

I wonder if Piers would be better off asking British authorities as to why files concerning the Dunblane inquiry have apparently been sealed for about 100 years?

I recall watching some years back an early 1960s episode of “The Saint” in which it begins with Roger Moore in a gun shop casually handling a shotgun (with other customers nearby) and discussing things related to guns and I wonder if Piers would be triggered by that as well? Even though crime and violent crime in the U.K. back then was far lower and accompanied by much more casual firearms laws.
