Hi Fellow Freepers!
I'm looking for some good political book ideas to give as gifts for Christmas. I'm particularly interested in books that will be helpful when debating liberals, progressives, and anti-American millennials.
Your input will be greatly appreciated!
David Horowitz’s Radical Son mirrored my own life.
The Crusader, by Paul Kengor
Myth of the Robber Barons, by Burton Folsom
Modern Times, by Paul Johnson
and, I have to add,
A Patriot’s History of the Modern World, 2 vols, by myself and Dave Dougherty
I strongly recommend Cruel and Usual Punishment by Nonie Darwish. Written by a woman who grew up under Islam in Egypt and then met and married a Coptic Christian and came here to live and write and lecture here with him, it gives an unmatched view of Islam from one, who, as a young girl, grew up under its strictures. The work is very well documented with footnotes referencing the Koran, the Haddith and the other authoritative writings of Islam. It very perceptively shows how Islam, strictly followed,is incompatible with our values and our culture and legal system. It is a very enjoyable read as well.
The Law by Bastiat sounds both fascinating and frightening!
One of the shortest most important reads on earth.
Thank you! I will check that out...
A Bicentennial of the U. S. Constitution Year book entitled, “Our Ageless Constitution,” if you can find a copy.
