My own child died of a heroin overdose so I do have some experience with clinics, courts, addicts and treatment programs
If she wanted to be sober she wouldnt be shooting up in the house with her kids and with her dealer
Its possible he intentionally od’d her to rob her

I’ve dealt death in my life and have no wish to repeat the experience. However in this particular case this person dealt their own hand and then played it to its logical and inevitable conclusion.
I played no role whosoever. Nor will I accept anyone trying to imply that somehow I bear any guilt or responsibility for the actions of others.
Trying to stop people from this sort of behavior is a fools errand. And forcing others at the point of a gun to pay for it is profoundly immoral and decidedly un-Christian.
So take your sad little attempt to inflict guilt on me elsewhere.

These people that think that it can’t “happen to their family” have their heads up their butts. It can, and does, happen to even the best of families.
One of my best friends’ 24 year old son is a heroin addict. He came from an upper middle class family and had all the “advantages”. His mother is beside herself but the heroin epidemic in this area is unbelievable. To think that it can’t hit close to home is to be living in fairyland. It doesn’t just attack the lower socioeconomic population....it doesn’t discriminate.
I will keep this woman’s children in my prayers.

Just watched it. That was bad but my county is worse - unfortunately! Makes me very sad. Horry County, SC had 101 opioid deaths in 2016 and 1043 doses of Narcan administered in 2016 and the numbers are going to be higher this year. Astonishing.
Their experience with opium over the centuries led to zero tolerance. The genius who created the modern Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew is probably the greatest national leader in history!
