Prayers that these children are taken in by a family that will love and cherish them, and shield them from the pain of this errant lifestyle. Prayers for the soul of their mother.
So sad. Prayers for those poor kids. Maybe they will have a GO Fund Me account somewhere.
I hope they can find good homes for these kids -- preferably as far away from their parents' families as possible.

Middletown Division of Police
We don’t normally do this, but we need your help so we are calling out to all of you.
Our officers and detectives responded to a call last night of an unresponsive female. Upon arrival they found the mother of 9 deceased.
The kids,all 9 of them, have just lost their mother to a tragic death and right before Christmas on top of that. The mother was with her supposed ‘friends’ who then in turn left her to die in front of her 9 kids. Not only did they leave her to die, but they stole her money as well and told the kids they were leaving to go buy a 2-liter of soda. We were able to get pretty good descriptors of these two men so take note. They were two white males and were possibly a father/son team. The father had gray hair and gray facial hair with a red and black coat on. The son had on a brown jacket and was of thin build.
It has disturbed us so much that it’s time for us to make a difference. Their father is a hard worker, he has tried to make ends meet but it’s a vicious cycle.
Two veteran detectives who were emotionally impacted have worked all day to try and help this family. We will take anything you are willing to donate. We need clothing desperately, we need coats, blankets, food, a stove, a refrigerator, we even need ornaments for the Christmas tree we just took to them and of course toys. The kids range in age from 14 to 1. They are:
female-14, boy-13, boy-11, boy-10, boy-6, girl-5, girl-3, boy-2 and girl 1.
This family has touched our hearts and we want to help them. It’s not about our Facebook page, it’s not about “Likes”, it’s about pure human compassion. If you can help us out, please bring your donation here to the police department.

The addict has to want sobriety bad enough to go through them

Well Tonto when it hits your Tee Pee you will want more rehabs.
Plus look at the bright side of it, it creates more jobs.
Poor kids loosing their mom. Hopefully their life improves without her around.

There are rehabs but in some places not nearly enough beds and in fact waiting lists.
Huntington, West Virginia needs at least a 500 bed unit one for men and one for women. So yea..1000 bed unit. No not kidding. This is for the whole county.
Thank you, Morgana. You’re a caring woman. I really should stop reading the comments on your posts though. Situations that call for compassion tend to bring out the best in some people, but the worst in others. I wonder how some of these people can look in a mirror, or fall asleep at night.

I know the idea of sterilization is monstrous in some senses, but on the other hand someone who is utterly incapable of exercising any responsibility of any kind and leaves this collossal mess behind in her wake. My God.
The kids are innocent, but what about the 9 fathers?
It’s Middletown, Ohio, somehow I doubt there is one. More so if the Police Dept has to help her kids and not local churches.
This heroin problem has got so far out of hand and no one has caught up with it.
It’s more than just needing rehabs it going to take some major drug busts as well.
