Please list the best Christmas movies.

A Christmas Carol 1951, A Christmas Carol 1938, A Miracle on 34th Street, and The Bishop's Wife are great classic Christmas movies.

A Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer are great animated Christmas movies.

A Christmas Prince, Christmas in Boston, and A Boyfriend for Christmas, though fluff, are friendly Christmas movies of the last 15 years.

What other classic Christmas movies?

What other animated Christmas movies and Christmas movies of the last 15 years?

Misfire. 34th was ok, Wonderful Life, absolute crap. I dont care how cheap it was to broadcast, Im not going to associate/confuse my holiday emotions with the repetitive subjection to that garbage.

Christmas Story: I could have sworn that that was home footage though I dont remember dressing like that. It deserved to get “a major award”.

Christmas in Connecticut.

Funny, witty, sophisticated and fun in only the way a post war film can be. Watch it nearly every year.

Barbara Stanwyck was at her best in that.

If Die Hard is on your list, consider Running Scared, 1986 (Billy Cristal and Gregory Hines).

Love the Bishop’s Wife, both versions that I am aware of, the 40’s one and the one shot in the nineties with a black ensemble.

Two films starring John Wayne that you don’t normally thing of as Christmas movies: 3 Godfathers and Donovan’s Reef.

Stanwick was at her best, and although not conventionally beautiful, the camera loved her. I love the faces of the actors in the older films.

The Girl Can't Help It, a musical starring Tom Ewell, Edmond O'Brien and Jayne Mansfield might not qualify as a Christmas movie, but it contains scenes that take place during the Christmas season. I've seen it in the theater at least 10 times, more than I've seen any other movie. You can watch it for free here
