Hey, let’s not be too hasty here. You gotta have something to wash down that Tide detergent pod.

Sacredness/purity is a moral channel, along with fairness, care/harm, in-group loyalty, respect for authority.
Liberals tend to ignore the respect for authority.
They used to not put value on in-group loyalty, but the social justice warriors exclude everyone but their followers in an increasing number of organizations. The Science Fiction Writers of America is now excluding conservatives ... though science fiction groups pushing social justice has been worsening for years.
This “raw water” along with raw food, clean eating, veganism, local food is the liberals’ chaotic attempt to apply purity rules to food without a coherent ideology. They want the feel good / feel holy aspect of Kosher without the stable rule-set or standards.

Raw water? It’s called a ‘well’ in most rural areas of the nation.

““It seems extraordinary that people want to go back to medieval times”

Actually, eco and health nazis want us to go back to the stone age.

Raw water from a bored well with a grouted casing installed all the way to bedrock and a pitless adaptor or other type of sealed cap, is usually safe to drink.

Any water from a river, or from a source under the direct influence of surface water, is usually not.

There are, of course, exceptions to both of the above scenarios, but I would never purchase "raw water" in bottles from anyone.

Walk though an old cemetery and see how young people died in the 1700s and 1800s. I'm pretty sure they all ate ‘natural’ food without preservatives, and drank ‘raw’ water.

They say to be healthy you have to drink "x" quarts of water per day....

I grew up in northern Michigan and the only water I drank was from the drinking fountain in school. At home we had that foul crap known as "well water" aka "iron water" and I never drank it.

Marketers of raw water say skipping the water treatment process makes the product better for your health, as naturally occurring probiotics, electrolytes and silica are not filtered out.

The Thirst Mutilator can't be any worse...

“You have died of dysentery”

Back in the computer stone-age I used to play that game sometimes.

What is its name? I cannot remember.

I have city water coming to the house and a damn good well out back that’s not connected to the house. While the well water tastes much better than the city the RO unit seems to tame it down.

If you have a stockpile of some crap you want to get rid of, promote it as a health fad in California and watch it fly off the shelves.

That's the entire content of my new Get Rich Quick book, since Freepers don't like excepts.

I worked water treatment for a few years and learned basically well water is rich in minerals, which is why it is “hard” or forms reddish iron deposits. Typically, well water is safe unless the well has been biologically contaminated by man.

But if the looney left is using surface water - rivers, lakes, ponds, streams etc, we are talking biological contaminants. The list the little critters that can make you sick or kill is quite long.

I personally recommend that the left drink surface water. It will have all the natural goodies in it they deserve.

My raw water comes naturally from a spring on the mountainside above my house. Our well sucks up some of the most delicious water I’ve ever tasted. No chemicals, no nothing. I didn’t realize I was on the crest of a trend...

I had that game way back when.
By the time I got it it had better graphics.

Spoiled meat!
Snake bite!
Broken bones!
Fevers!
Flooded rivers!
Never made it all the way without losing someone. :-(

Seriously, what is wrong with people.

We have raw water in our house but don’t use it for drinking.

It’s called the toilet.

If you REALLY want raw water, suck on the ice forming on the freezer walls of your refrigerator. It forms from atmospheric moisture and is PURE water!

Soon you will realize why your mama said NEVER to eat that ice. And NEVER drink demineralized water for the same reason.
