A big cat poacher has been killed and eaten by the pride of lions he was hunting at a private game reserve in South Africa.
The hunter was heard screaming for help as he was attacked at the Ingwelala Private Nature Reserve in Hoedspruit outside Phalaborwa.
But the lions quickly killed their victim and devoured most of his body before being chased off, leaving his head untouched.

Giving head to a lion is definitely not recommended.

The article didn’t say what he did wrong. It just labels him a poacher.

Could he have been saved if he had a buddy with a laser pointer being the designated distraction? That, sir, is thinking outside the box! And, funny!

The difference between “being caught” and “being fed” are pretty minor in some places in the world....

When you voluntarily give up your place at the top of the food chain, these things can happen.

The ravens in my neighborhood have that problem figured out with walnuts. They fly over and drop them on the pavement cracking them wide open. My big Sheltie figured this out with his treat ball. He got tired of having to roll it around the floor to get the goodies out one at a time, so he'd just pick the whole thing up in his mouth and drop it on the hard floor. It would pop open and all the treats would fall out.

Big cat poacher? Is that supposed to make a hunter sound bad? Nope.
This one actually was a poacher.
Private reserve.

Let’s remember this fine day the next time somebody complains about some hot young thang getting “bullied” on social media for bringing down a trophy animal.

Yes that’s possible I guess, except in this case, the buddy could run faster than the poacher ...

Well, some days you eat the lion; other days the lion eats you.
To: rktman
Aw, yer doin' it wrong.
I will admit to poaching a few eggs now and then, but a whole lion? No wonder they were mad.
To: rktman
Too bad for him, shouldnt have been there in the first place. I am so anti trophy hunting!
