If you don’t smoke and you find yourself walking behind someone who does, it can be unpleasant. Now a New York City Councilman wants to do something about it.
“My bill is very simple: no smoking and walking on New York City sidewalks,” said Queens Councilman Peter Koo (Dist. 20).
His bill would make it a misdemeanor to walk while smoking, likely punishable by a fine of $50.
Smokers, already banned from lighting up in public parks among many other places in the city, weren’t thrilled at the idea. …

Ten years ago I wouldn’t be almost glad to be on the downhill side of life. Too much of this stuff is coming at us on a daily basis.
What about chewing gum in line?
Next thing you know it will be against the law to not be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.
So why don’t they just pee on anyone who is smoking? It’s legal to pee in public.
NYC air is worse than chain smoking.
How about farting and walking?
It is pretty unpleasant to be walking down the street and walk through someone’s “Brown Cloud”
I find the accent of the entire Tri-State Area to be obnoxious, offensive and they’re always yelling. I think they should be forced to shut up or be fined.
How do they define “smoking”? If I’m carrying a lit cigarette as I walk down the street but don’t raise it to my lips, am I smoking? If I do the above, but stop dead when I do decide to take a puff, am I “walking and smoking”?
Walking while smoking to be banned - unless its marijuana, or the individual is a member of a Liberal protected class, such as homosexual, transgender, Black, or a Democratic party politician.

The psychos are alive and well on the NY City Council. They should make a movie about themselves - “The Council of the Damned”. Would be a great hit in liberal-ville Manhattan and the Island.
If he’s a QUeens councilman, why is he forcing a law to Manhattan? Start with Queens first, then Brooklyn, then the Bronx.

Self important retard politicians. They are becoming useless, a nuisance and obnoxious. I expect very few “rank and file” cops to enforce this but we did see the case where selling “Loosies” was a death penalty. Eric “Can’t breathe” Garner had little libtard attention because the Officer in Charge was black and female. BTW, cops will rarely go after pot smokers as a stand alone offense.
