Trump needs to fire Sessions and Rosenstein and have a second special prosecutor appointed to investigate Uranium One, Mueller, Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, FISA abuse, and the DOJ and FBI. That way he could raid Muller’s office on a weekly basis, while getting to the bottom of some actual criminal activity.

I almost didn’t see your link. Yes, I have heard this quoted before.

Republicans fro some reason keep chasing the next shiny object (crime) instead of prosecuting what they know to be crimes. We lose every time when they do that.

“...a further paragraph they’ve prepared in advance that says the firing of Comey was obstruction and the firing of Mueller will be definitive proof of obstruction.”

Definitive proof? Ok, define the crime that Trump is supposedly obstructing.

It's a much, much better idea to start issuing pardons to key targets. That would force James "Dirty Cop" Comey's good pal to close up shop and submit a report saying "I found no credible evidence of collusion".

"Defang" is a strategy, but there is a reason Trump is playing this like he is.

I trust him... and God... and nothing else at the moment.

Mueller is breaking every law

The left disagrees. If that were true, surely the AG would not allow it.

There is a very simple solution to this problem:

Have Jeff Sessions switch Cabinet positions with the Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen.

Both are already Senate confirmed, so there is no chance for Senators to obstruct. Nielsen has no ties to the campaign, served in the Bush administration, and received numerous government contracts under the Obama administration.

If Nielsen steps in at Justice, she will not be under any recusal, and thus will effectively strip Rosenstein of his oversight responsibility for the Mueller investigation, pushing Rosenstein back down to Deputy AG status. Then she can decide if she wants to keep him in her department staff altogether.

Nielsen can then begin to rein in Mueller, stop approving abusive witch hunt raids, and pressure Mueller towards a deadline.

Have Jeff Sessions switch Cabinet positions with the Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen.

This is about the only option left for Trump at this point. Sadly, I think Trump (the best President we’ve had since Ronald Reagan) will not last his first term if the dems gain control of Congress in 2018. They’ll find some reason to impeach him and Pense will finish the first term for him. DOJ has simply gone too rogue at this point.

Sessions is an integral part and willing participant in this soviet style special counsel coup against the President of the United States.

I want him prosecuted.

“When reporters asked Trump Monday if he would fire the special counsel, he responded ominously, “We’ll see what happens.”

It’s not the first time this president has put out a trial balloon about firing the man charged with investigating him.”

What a load of codswallop. Trump is asked a direct question, provides an ambiguous answer and that is a trial balloon? More like a liberal wet dream.

He can go along with the program or step aside. Trump can have Nielsen and other Cabinet Secretaries put on the strong arm.

If Sessions steps down and Nielsen moves over to Justice, that puts the pressure on the Senate to not hold up Homeland Security for partisan reasons.

“The real way to get at mueller is to simultaneously raid mueller’s, rosenstein’s, comey’s, brennan’s, clapper’s homes and offices, along with the homes and offices of every one of each man’s closest confidantes, and just start digging.”

I like it.

....too late when Mueller presents a laundry list of crimes, misdemeanors, obstruction of justice to the congress in which to impeach. And HE WILL AND THEY WILL.

———————————-

You really believe that? How sad. By believing that you must believe that Trump is guilty of crimes, misdemeanors and obstruction of justice.

Believe that if you want. But not me.
