the guy who wrote it couldn’t play it the way Hendrix did either.

True dat.

Bob Dylan once remarked that he liked Jimi's version of All Along The Watchtower better than his own original.

Samantha Fish is another great (and hot) blueswoman. Here she is performing with “Kingfish” and Ty Curtis.

Image result for Billy Roberts who wrote the song Hey Joe

That would be Billy Roberts according to copyright info.

Thanks. All I could remember was Robert something-or-other.

So many of the greats covered this song - too many to list - but I put this into the Top Three, mainly because of her bluesy vocals!

I gotz to know more about her...

Wow, this kid is only 17 years old.

Hopefully, he has many years of making music ahead of him.

Thanks for posting this. I thought I'd seen most of the up & coming blues & blues/rock artists what with closely following Joe Bonamassa and his media links, but this is the first time I'd seen Kingfish. He was recently posted at Blues musicians to watch in 2018 on Joe's site, but I never followed up.

Anyway, hope he loses some weight so he says healthy. Great talent needs to stick around. Awesome guitarist, and IMHO nice soulful singing too!

Even The Who who gave Hey Joe a spin on their 1989 Tour.

Yes, he’s a great player. But he’s no Hendrix.

No arguments there. Worth going to see, though.

I've got two LP vopies, both used, never tracked it down on CD, but have the other posthumous (and now discontinued, at least in the US) titles on CD, hmm, do I? "Cry of Love" (which is actually one of my favorite albums of his) but probably not "War Babies". Hmm, can't prove it either way right now. :^)
