How about letting him repay his education, since he is reneging on his service.

Not to mean disrespect for our military but someone that truly loves communism might like military life. Your job is assigned and centrally planned, you can't quit whenever you feel like it and must follow orders, you don't elect your leaders, you can't speak your mind, you don't get rich, bureaucracy is everywhere, the commissary has better prices than the free market, you can live in communal quarters with your comrades, you get free medical care of suspect quality, you sometimes get to use force, destroy things, and kill lots of annoying people. Possibly the original idea for communism came from military life.

Well, you’re not wrong. Of course, a military needs capitalism to fund and arm itself.

A UOTHC discharge is hard to come back from, and generally the VA won’t award benefits. Most of the BMCRs won’t consider an upgrade unless a “clear injustice” was found.

"No more blanket parties at The Point?"

I guess not. In Navy basic way back when we did uphold this tradition on one particular night to get a certain shitbird back in line. Worked like a charm.

For this guy, there was (and still is) the option of a nasty fall down a tall staircase.

There was a West Point Prep school at Fort Belvoir, VA years ago that took Army EM who met certain standards based on Army testing. GT score was a big factor. That was 5 years to graduation as the prep school was a year. I heard they moved the school.

"My task was to organize defeat, so as to hasten the onset of revolution. I enlisted under the name of Petrov. The party looked to the peasant conscript soldiers - many of whom were wearing their first real pair of boots. When the boots had worn out, they'd be ready to listen. When the time came, I was able to take three whole battalions out of the front lines with me - the best day's work I ever did." - Yevgraf Zhivago

What is saddest of all, there are only so many openings at our military colleges each year.

This creep STOLE a place from someone who obviously deserved it far more.

whoever recommended him should have such privilege stripped for the rest of their life.

I read that, too, but I don’t think he was actually promoted to First Lieutenant. What is more likely, IMO, is that his chain of command refused to promote him to 1LT and he’s now being discharged from the military.

Yes...Finally is an understatement.

Thanks for posting! I’ve been checking ‘news’ sources for word on this fiasco since it started last September, that’s when the Army announced it was starting an investigation on Rapone. The powers that be be sure move slow, even when there’s well documented evidence.

Would be appropriate for him to have to pay for that education he got at West Point but I seriously doubt that’ll happen.

Doesn’t West Point come with a 5 year obligation?

He could’ve served that in Leavenworth.

Thank God, glad they removed him because he is an anti-American traitor at heart and a clear and present danger to everyone who had to work with him, as well as his unit.
