CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two CVS managers involved in an incident at a store on Chicago's North Side are no longer working for the company, according to a statement released Monday.
CVS said in a tweet that its investigation is now complete.
The company issued an apology Sunday to a black woman after a white store manager called police, accusing her of trying to use a fake coupon.
The incident happened Friday night at a CVS in the 6100-block of North Broadway in the city's Edgewater neighborhood.
The woman, Camilla Hudson, captured the incident on cellphone video, which shows manager Morry Matson visibly shaken as he talks to police on the phone.
Hudson said she was just trying to use a coupon for an item when the manager told her he couldn't accept it and then accused her of handwriting the coupon.
Hudson wanted managers to call the corporate office for help on the issue. That's when police were called.
Matson was a delegate for President Trump during his 2016 campaign and is running for alderman of Chicago's 48th Ward.
Hudson posted the full video on her Facebook page.

Well! I just received a message from Facebook that my original post from last night violated their policies - so its been pulled and deleted. Maybe it was the screenshot of Morrys Facebook page???? Well, here we go again - heres Morry in his stellar, shining moment.
Original post follows:
UPDATE - video and photos attached, including a photo of the coupon. (Yes, all of my business is now in the streets AND all over the Internet!) His name is Morry Matson. He is a self-proclaimed Log Cabin Republican from Montana. The other manager, who refused to accept the coupon, is Brandon and I do not yet know Brandons last name (or possibly spelled Branden).
So, THIS just happened: I had the police called on me for attempting to use a coupon @ the CVS Pharmacy located at 6150 N. Broadway in Chicago! I stopped in to make a purchase using a coupon mailed to me by the product manufacturer, as replacement for problematic/defective product. The manager on duty said that hed never seen a coupon like the one I had and said that he thought it was fraudulent. When I asked for his name and his title/role within the store, he became agitated and rude. When I pulled out my phone to document what happened and exactly what hed said to me (AND how hed said it!) he turned his back and walked away from me. When I followed him and demanded that he answer my question, he ran to the back of the store and slammed a door in my face. Meanwhile, the other manager, whod been helping me initially, came running back to tell me that Id better leave the store immediately, because hed called the police.
Of course, I had ZERO concerns about the police being called. Apparently, theyd hung up on him the first time he called, so he had to call them back a second time, telling the 911 dispatcher that I was harassing them (which I have on video). Three tactical unit officers arrived and, after some conversation and documenting their names, badge numbers, etc., I eventually left the store. Needless to say, this is far from over. Life in these United States. Aargh.
“Matson was a delegate for President Trump during his 2016 campaign and is running for alderman of Chicago’s 48th Ward.”
Hmm, what are the odds this woman would cross his path and this would happen to HIM?
Idiot manager.
I’ve been treated that way, exact same situation- manufacturer’s coupon that the idiot didn’t recognize. Did the same thing, too.
If I’m the customer, and in the right, I am NOT backing down and I’m going to make your life and job miserable just for sheer cussedness.
It doesn’t need to be about race: the customer is always right; if you can’t wrap your head around that (and yes, there are exceptions) then get out of retail. Good on this customer for not backing down.
Did he think she was trying to pass a counterfeit coupon?
So she pulled out a phone, started trying to film him and demanding he answer her questions. He tried just walking away but she followed him. Then another guy saw this harassment and asked her to leave. That about right?
Whats good for the Red Hen is good for the CVS
Yes and no. Let me explain. I was in a CVS in Washington DC once and the staff was all black. Another black guy came in and the staff immediately began signalling to each other to watch him like a hawk. A security guy (also black) started following him. The guy made some protests that he was being watched, they ignored him. It was obvious that this guy was well known to them, that the store, in a sort of rough area, had a history of being stolen from, and they were taking steps. Maybe this guy really just wanted to buy tissues that day, who knows? But his protestations fell on deaf ears.
Now who knows if this women has any history at the store? I don't. But I'd like to hear the managers side before I just accept her one-sided "he called the cops on me because I used a coupon" story because it makes no sense to me at all.
If I have a real coupon and you accuse me of it being fraudulent, you are going to have a really rotten day and your last one on that job if I can help it. No forgiveness or mercy when I am the customer and I’m in the right.
Not commenting on the racial element, but having had the exact thing happen to me- a perfectly legit manufacturer’s coupon that the idiot at the store didn’t know what to do with - if you accuse me of something like fraud I will be in your face until I get what’s mine, end of subject. In my case there was a manager on duty who made good what was coming to me.
And what are the odds a store manager would be dumb enough to call the cops because of a coupon?
Well, He lost his job over it. Lets hope you never lose your job over such an insignificant incident.
[sigh]
Poorly trained manager.
Normal policy that I see when a coupon is presented and is questioned is to ask the customer to wait while the store verifies the coupon. Then call the manufacture on the face of the coupon to see if it is redeemable.
If it is not redeemable simply tell the customer that the store can’t accept the coupon because the vendor on the coupon wont redeem the coupon.
If it is redeemable, apologize to the customer for the delay, accept and move on.
If the status can not be asserted after a call to the manufacture, ask the customer if you can make a copy of the coupon and offer to continue to check with the manufacture -but- tell the customer that you can’t accept the coupon until the status is confirmed.
In retail, mistreating a customer is *NOT* “insignificant”. If you are going to doubt, or accuse a customer of something like fraud or shoplifting you had best be 100 percent correct or yes, you will get fired; I’ve seen it and while racial issues are the reason this particular story is going viral mistreating a customer in such a way will, and should, get you fired anywhere, anytime. As someone who spend years behind a cash register I know this.
Sounds like a plan.
CVS has a LOT of different types of coupons. My wife is pretty good at stacking them. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was legit.
“the customer is always right”
ROTFLMAO!
The important words are here:
...”to a black woman after a white store manager...”
That’s all you need to know.
Let this be a warning. Blacks are now allowed to loiter as long as they want, and to use fake coupons. Whites are supposed to bow down in submission to their masters.
The fact that the left has brought down a Republican is not mentioned, but is making the left very happy.
Refusing to accept a coupon is hardly mistreatment.
I’ve never seen something like this before, but I highly doubt the customer went to this much effort to forge something like this for those particular products, with a max value of 17.99.
