After Thursday's 2117 win over the Jets, Browns head coach Hue Jackson said he has to wait to "watch the tape" before deciding between Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield on who will be the Week 4 starting quarterback.
Rookie quarterback and No. 1 pick Mayfield came in before the first half ended when quarterback Taylor went out with a concussion. He led the Browns back from a 140 defecit for the victory.

If Taylor has concussion he will potentially be out several weeks so no decision.......
Yeah he should be fired if he doesnt go with Baker Mayfield. This is a easy choice
It is an easy choice but this is exactly how he should handle this. Tyrod knows the decision too but he needs to have the discussion with both, not through the media.
Baker Mayfield 100.1
Tyrod Taylor 39.6
Taylor was also 51.8 against the Steelers, and 94.6 against the Saints. His career rating is 89.5.
That's enough tape for me, until Mayfield proves otherwise.
You guys know you’re posting on FreeRepublic, right?
Jets fell apart. Mayfield had ZERO touchdowns. If he was better than Taylor he had the pre-season and the first two games to prove it. He didnt. Hes another Manzell, both hot-headed undersized quarterbacks. I expect Taylor will be starting the next game,
And Taylor was looking pretty inept even before he got his bell rung. I’d say there’s no question who should start next week.
I’d like to know who the idiot was who looked at a Thursday night prime time slot and thought that a Jets/Browns game would be the perfect match-up for it.
Watch tape?
Look at the scoreboard Jackson.
Hue Jackson has been a doddering fool with a very obvious media cover story for all his days.
This self-important blowhard declares ‘I am a leader of men.’ Well, yes, he’s led to being fired once and then to a 1-31 record with a franchise foolish enough to retain him until now.
Apparently Coach Jackson watched the game blindfolded then.
Is this sarcasm? Did we watch the same game? The number of passing touchdowns is not a reflection of a quarterback’s success. The number of touchdowns is. The Browns were totally different with Mayfield in the game. He was poised, and made some great throws. Taylor looked like a deer in the headlights back there.
Cleveland is where QBs go to die. He looked good. But he was new and the Jets did not prepare or have film on him. Plus prime time home game and trying to break a two year losing streak. Mayfield gave them a spark, but not sure how long it will last. I think the kid could be good, but would prefer he get some more time before he starts so he does not end up like Quinn, Manzell, McCoy, Anderson, .................... And I am a Browns fan. Yes, Im the other one.
Well the idiot turned out to be right. It was a pretty great game. A matchup between the 1st and 2nd picks in the draft. A Thursday in September. What are you expecting, Eagles v Patriots?
I’m that third fan you didn’t know about.
Uh the starting QB gets 0 points. He is replaced by the rookie, who gets 21 points and changes the game from defeat to victory.
Apparently, it doesn’t take brains to get a coaching job in Cleveland.
I thought that too, but Baker Mayfield put all concerns to rest. (yes, the Browns would be 3-0 without those missed kicks, but that’s off-topic)
