Of course they’re completely unhappy.
You bring up an interesting point that they “can” start hormonal therapy as early as 10 years old. The idea there is that they have the wrong body for their mind. The mind in this case is more wrong than the body as it is not the part that needs artificial change. So, do they have the wrong body to match their thinking, or the wrong mindset, and not mind, to match their body when both were healthy except for an idea and a lifestyle which is not a scientific fact and can be altered without drugs to do it?

I just watched the video, and actually, 2 of the 3 men said exactly that, that they’ve found God now, transitioned back to being men, and now try to help others in their situation see that this is mental illness. The third didn’t say anything about religion, but essentially said the same thing, that it’s a mistake and they now give talks to young people about how they really should not try changing their sex.
Chastity/Chad Bono doesn’t understand why SHE can’t find a significant other. Oh, boo hoo. Look in the mirror at what you’ve done to yourself.
There was a woman who wanted to cut her legs off. Mental illness.
A common refrain of many married men. In a different sort of way, of course.
I’m way past that point.
The only problem now is that the insanity is becoming institutionalized. Switzerland just passed a law that would put you in jail for “transphobia”, and someone here in the US got fired for saying women don’t have penises.
We are a sick society.

Sorry guys (gals, or whatever...) Our congressmen and judges have decided that the only therapy that you cannot get is straight conversion therapy. You can get therapy for everything else in your screwed up life- aroma therapy, Trump derangement therapy, fake rape therapy, but if you dare want to be normal, there is no help for you!
People may have regret over a permanent tatoo,

That phrase is in the third sentence and that's where I stopped reading.
Because NOBODY has EVER 'become' a female. Just like NOBODY has EVER become a 'male.' Males and females can take all sorts of nasty drugs, some of which are proven cancer causing, and have their genitals mutilated but they can NEVER change their sex.
God saw to that when he invented DNA. Your DNA forever defines your sex and you can't change your DNA.
I really feel sorry for these folks. They desperately need mental counseling but many so-called counselors are encouraging this behavior instead of trying to help these folks.
