I was gonna look for a Weekend at Bernie's pic...but figured I should peruse the thread first. Your pic is a WHOLE lot better. I guess that's why you're drpix!

👍👍👍👍👍

better yet post-midterm, if Ginsberg and Breyer both announced retirement AND Trump announced that CIA has found Obama’s real birthplace so that Kagan/Sotomayor are annulled.

I guess I see the humor in most of this thread, but at 78 the GR shows up now and then in my mirror too. So I resist making fun of RBG and her physical condition. The solution for her eventual replacement, and any other vacancies, is to make sure Trump gets re-elected in 2020. That and to hold the Senate for confirmations to come. That means getting out the vote.

I swear she’s been on ice in the basement for the past year and had to roll her up stairs last week.

Do you remember the Star Trek episode with Captain Christopher Pike, Capt. Kirk’s former CO? I’ll bet that was the inspiration for the photoshop job.

Vman, you're a frikken genius ;-)

I didn’t create that pic only picked what I thought was the best. I’m glad you agreed.

I became drpix 15 years ago, when the Internet had only the tiniest fraction of the pix it has now... and I had to do so many time consuming photoshops myself. Now, there are so many good ones on line, that I rarely have to do any.

She could have retired during Obama’s administration and he could have replaced her with another leftist judge, but I guess she felt she had to hang on for her own legacy.

I've read elsewhere that Ginsberg held on through the Obama years, because she was convinced that Hillary would be the next president, and wanted her to have the honor of choosing her successor.

Well, that didn't work out, and now she's stuck, knowing that she won't outlast Trump, and that she will be succeeded on the court by a conservative jurist.

My opinion only, but I think she stayed KNOWING Hillary was going to win in order to be Hillary’s first supreme court pick as HER legacy. That Trump won screwed her planned retirement.

So, she feels she HAS TO stay till 2020 at least, 2024 at worst.

So long as we are dreaming, let Sotomayor resign in frustration and take Kagan with her. We can keep Breyer as some sort of souvenir of “the old days.”
