Dems ran on saying that Repubs wanted to take away their healthcare, social security and Medicare. All this would be due to Trump’s tax cuts “for the rich”. They twisted statistics and stories to convince low info voters. It worked.

I miss those snow storms. We had a cabin in the Sierras for about a decade, and my very first winter up there by myself, neighbors told me a snowstorm was coming. They wanted to make sure I had working flashlights, a walkie-talkie, some water in reserve, and lots of firewood brought in.

So I sat there, waiting for this horrible storm, a little nervous.

Well the storm consisted of these beautiful gentle snowflakes building up on the ground in shimmering rounded Mounds. It was so beautiful and peaceful and quiet, as only insulating snow can do. We never tended to get a lot of wind up there so it wasn’t storm like at all. I had the best time shoveling a path to the woodpile in the middle of the night, just watching the snow twinkling from the cabin lights. Luckily neither the water nor power went out that night.

Unfortunately I won’t have any nights like that in Tennessee. It makes me miss the Sierras.

It makes me so mad, and sad, that people just believe the lies without using their brains and thinking. I was just talking to a friend today about how people have had to just ignore how wonderful the economy is doing in order to vote against their own self-interest. And the tax cuts as you said. Don’t people look at their own tax returns instead of just believing what CNN says? I guess that was a sarcastic rhetorical question. I know most people don’t, they just have H&R Block do them and they don’t even look at the numbers, only the refund. So sad. Dumbing-down down our public schools has really worked to the Liberals advantage.
