Durrell Jackson has been protesting racial inequality at Notre Dame football games for two years.
The junior started right after Colin Kaepernick began his protest of police brutality in 2016. He remembers the reactions of other fans when he first sat during the national anthem. “I got this look from the people standing up next to me, like ‘What are you doing?!’ ” Jackson said by phone Monday. “I gave them a look, ‘Yeah, I’m doing it.’ ”
This past Saturday, at the last Notre Dame home game of the season, Jackson had plenty of company.

They want equality? All they have to do is behave like civilized human beings, stop blaming whitey for their own shortcomings (70%+ illegitimacy rate, for example) and insist that their brethren do the same. And in cases where real racism is involved, lay out the facts without accusing all whites of being the same.

I could not despise Note Dame and their mutt president Father Jenkins any more. I can’t wait to see Alabama kick their teeth in. I hope they bring Obama in the cheer and kneel with these turds.
They are a fake Catholic school that damages the imagine of my Church just at a time that we need allies not back stabbers.
Jenkins had 83 Catholics arrested for praying the Rosary in protest of him giving Obama an honorary JD. They were on the grounds of the University of Our Lady!! He then REFUSED to drop the charges for years - 3 of the group were priests of which 2 were of Jenkins same order!! One old priest died before the despicable Jenkins finally dropped the charges.
He also used student activity funds to send 4 little snowflakes to a pro-gay marriage rally in DC and maintains a club for gay/ lesbians which completely pushes aside the Catholic Church doctrine of promoting a near occasion of sin.
There is plenty more, but the bottom line is that I didn’t say Notre Dame is a Catholic university THEY do and Jenkins and the rest of those mutts in South Bend are LIARS.
"Bowl eligibility" just doesn't have the same panache it used to have, does it? I grew up in the era of the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Cotton Bowl, and Sugar Bowl. There were a few second-tier bowl games (Gator, Tangerine, Sun, Bluebonnet) but nobody paid any mind to those. It wasn't a true bowl game if it wasn't on New Year's Day.
Overexposure ruins everything.

You are naive if you think “collegiates” (which they are not, believe me, I work with them) won’t pull the same thing. Really, even while you complain about colleges and alleged anti-American prejudice, you think guys playing a mere game won’t “take a knee” and you can watch them with impunity. Foolishness.
Great. Now the little college douchebags are doing it.
Will have to scratch watching college ball too along with NFL.

I am so excited watching our new freshman QB. I don’t like any FL teams or Notre Dame. I am Catholic and lots of parishioners and priests root for them. Not me. It’s been fun to watch Clemson this season. Hope they go all the way.
College football ratings were doing far better than the NFL. Do they really want to go there? If they lose half their viewers, where are they going to get the money for all those perks that the football staff (and players) enjoy?
