(Uploader's description) Old film of a historically prominent Jewish area (the Jodenbuurt) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in January 1932. Compiled and slowed down footage to a natural rate. I have utilized the original soundtrack, which is an odd mix of unsynced church, added and source sounds, as well as the 1930s recording 'To Ostatni Szabas' (Our Last Sabbath) sung by Adam Aston. This area did not fare well during WW2 nazi occupation with 95% of the Jewish population killed or having abandoned the area. From the EYE film museum

thank you for posting...it was sobering knowing such a vibrant neighborhood would be basically gone 10 years later and looking at the young people and older for that matter knowing that person would be going thru hell soon ...sad
I take it that they guy that posted it missed the film maker's intent. (Hint, the opening scene of the poster at the 16 second mark, checking their watches, the clock, etc.)

Millennials are being taught the Israel is bad. I have Jewish friends shocked at how much their kids hate Israel when their college kids came home this summer.
