Let me be absolutely clear: I am in no doubt there are people who feel they are one gender while having the body of the other.
Living with such constant, internal conflict is horrifying for many of those affected, and it should never be ignored.
No one should seek to suppress another person’s genuinely held sexual orientation or gender identity.
But the question we must ask ourselves today is this – how do we decide whose needs are genuine? And how, then, should we treat them?
I have been a psychotherapist for more than 30 years and, in that time, I have worked with a small but significant number of patients who wished to change gender.
For everyone’s sake, I believe that surgery – which is irreversible – should only ever be a last resort. We should always begin by working to help the mind fit better with the body before we start altering the body to fit the mind.
Yet in today’s NHS, professionals are enabling hundreds – possibly thousands – of teenagers to have major surgery to change their gender.
It is being done, almost unchallenged, in the name of transgender rights. But in 20 years’ time, I believe we will look back on this folly as one of the darkest periods in the history of modern medicine.

That’s exactly what they count on. Well, and ridiculing anyone that tries.
It’s like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. You can’t define the thing unless/until you look. In this case, the only person that is allowed to look is the confused themselves.
They are building entire social movements, post-modernism, around this concept. The concept of “Uncertainty” and “Relativism”.
It’s nothing short of an attempt to completely destroy virtually all cumulative knowledge by suggesting that that knowledge is flawed since it has been primarily provided by white Christian men.

According to Jesus in the Bible the soul has no gender. When we die and go to heaven, we are like the angels who are neither male or female. I don’t see why the soul would even need a gender. It’s for the purpose of natural reproduction, which has no place in the supernatural.
If that’s the case, then people are being way too obsessed with mortality.
I agree. Didn’t it used to be that when a child felt they were the wrong sex a hormone study was done? Some kids will grow out of it, some would get hormones for awhile. “Johnny you are a boy and just need a few more hormones until you reach puberty.” Now it’s idiotic parents indulging their kids, enabling them to change and doctors who have a new industry to make a buck drugging them up and cutting them up. Mental illness it isn’t like a kid who dons a cape and thinks he’s super man.
I TOTALLY agree. Like any other strange “cultural experiment” tried out on people. It’s hard to comprehend that people allow their own children too choose their gender a just a few years old!!!
You can't change anyone's sex.
With what they had at the time, it was a good shot for them. Now we know better thanks to the scientific method, yet we see people putting blind faith in it

I think it is a thing that kids do today just like kids explored drugs in the 60s. It’s some kind of social cultural exploration/rebellion mindset that seeks identity and the attention that comes with it... and who knows what they’ll be doing in the future.
Next to murdering a million unborn Americans a year in the alleged name of choice.

Much truth there. The Left is obsessed with “gray areas”, and when they see something containing an obvious, absolute definition, must redefine it in a way that makes it subjective instead. It’s their war on truth, which ironically means they must occasionally deny science which they claim to have a monopoly on. Hence there is no absolute determination of gender when (biologically) there clearly is, plainly obvious in the sex chromosome. It’s either male or female, not both, and not neither. And everyone has one.

It’s not a gender, it’s a sex. If you use their word, then you”’ve already admitted they are right.

This plays out whenever there is a Cop shooting a black man.
If there’s incontrovertible evidence that the Cop is at fault, there are no Protests/riots. They know the cop will be charged accordingly.
They exploit the occasions in which uncertainty exists. This is where they can create any number of conspiracies and leverage the resulting anger and fear to a political end.
