What the hell!? This alarms hell out of me.
I remember reading about the 93 total people, only 8 or 9 of which were actual Congress Critters. They mentioned Pelosi's family included on the plane.

The FR thread was posted at 5:24 PM on 01/18/2019 (is it safe to assume PST?). The linked CNN article was "Updated 7:02 PM ET, Fri January 18, 2019". That would have been 4:02 PM PT.
So, today I'm in a discussion about this in a local chit chat group. Several people mention the 93 people. One guy asks for a source for that info. So I go search for one of the articles.
I can't find one. I change search engines and start filtering through the responses. I searched on "nancy pelosi trip cancelled", "nancy pelosi trip friends and family", "nancy pelosi trip friends", "how many people on Pelosi's trip", "pelosi's trip extra people", "pelosi extra people", "93 people pelosi", and finally, just "93 people".
I find, on page 3 of results to one of those queries, a link to The Marshall Report, entitled, "Pelosi’s Secret Overseas Mission Included 93 Family Members? Why?" That article is apparently based on a comment from "BLUEPRINT" (screen capture posted at the link) which says "ALL Pelosi's children and grandchildren were also booked, totalling 7 congressman (sic) and 93 family members grounded." https://themarshallreport.wordpress.com/2019/01/19/pelosis-secret-overseas-mission-included-93-family-members-why/
Okay, I must conclude one of the following: - The 93 people never existed. - The 93 people happened but the evil minions of the Dem machine have scrubbed their little arses off removing references to them. - The CNN article linked in the FR thread was posted at 8:24 Eastern, AFTER the updated (according to them) time currently on the article. So either the excerpt posted in FR is a blatant lie, or CNN changed their time as well as the article when they updated it.
For 93 people to be on this junket...I don’t believe it. Dems are not so stupid to do it during a government (semi) shutdown.

My guess is she is in California, same as most weekends. She issued a staff written statement before Trump’s speech. She has maintained radio silence since Trump’s speech. I think Mr Trump put her into a tailspin when he killed her junket.

I share your interest. If all the elected members were Democrats, I would question the title of “CODEL” which I think should consist of members of both political parties. In this case, it appears that all 6 elected officials accompanying Pelosi were Democrats so it wasn’t a CODEL but just a boondoggle excursion. I have not heard anyone ask the question “were you going to take your grandkids to Afghanistan?”
From now on she travels single, after approval. Lol
I would call it “the US taxpayers getting fornicated by political hacks again.”
Given that this was a trip that was going to be in Afghanistan and back in six days, it wouldn’t seem like a traditional vacation for anybody.
My guess is that the group would stop in Brussels, have a few hours of meetings and then head to Davos for two or three days. After that, on to Afghanistan for a few hours of publicity and then back home.
Pelosi and six Congresscritters, each with three or four staffers, and certainly with a number of Capitol Police for security. Even adding contingents from Defense and State Departments wouldn’t seem to add up to 93.
You wont find a manifest with the names. Pelosi has it hidden. The other day when the story of President Trump cancelling her flight broke a story came out about Judicial watch recently obtaining a passenger list from a similar trip a few years ago. They had to file a Foia to obtain it and it takes a long time.
That can smell!

I’m glad u brought this up. We need to do our own fast checking and investigations.
If we had an honest press we would know if congresscritters can three generations of family members on vacation on the taxpayers dime...
But we don’t have an honest press - we have a press that gets their best stories from ‘news packets’ Democrats send them... and if they aren’t good to democrats they stop getting the good stuff...
Who in their right mind would consider taking an untold number of children and grand children to Afghanistan?
