Totally avoidable. Unfortunately for the owner. All he had to do is play that song “All I want for Christmas is a Hippo” or whatever the title actually is, over and over again. At loud volume. They would have moved on promptly.

The city of Rochester New York has had these laws since the 90s. Most nightclubs that cater to minorities have been shut down in a blink of an eye.
The rental vacancy rate in residential areas is approximately 6% and will grow with the new militantly Pro tenant laws instituted in 2019 Statewide

Funny how nuisance abatement laws are prevalent only in blue areas.

Sounds like a good bait location for a boom in warrant checks and arrests. I would think they might like that aspect.

I have had my car broken into twice in Dallas hotel parking lots. Locks punched out once and side window smashed the other. Cops dont bother to come out.

Seems the the cops are criminally negligent, and the negligent criminal.

I drive past that place on MLK often as I go to the place where I volunteer. I had noticed the fencing around the car wash. It’s within a couple of blocks of some rows of businesses and a classic old theater that they’re trying to renovate. Grand old houses are on the other side of the street, kept well but put to other uses, plus a small mosque. Most have big signs that read Voting is Power.

Right after that, I drive down a nearby street where bums and vagrants spend their days walking down one street from a place that serves them breakfast to a place that gives out food for lunch. Those are some of the most wasted lives I can imagine.

New lofts and fancy townhouses are being built in that latter area, and the new people are called urban pioneers. Wow, are they brave.

Knew it’d be south Dallas. Can’t get much more zeroed in on the criminal element than Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in any town.

This action by Dallas is not surprising.

“Directing a hotel property owner to run criminal history checks on all guests...”

We’ll leave the blight on for you.

Cool. So, if I keep calling the cops about the crooks in Congress, the cops will seize the property and shut it down. What’s their number?

The purpose of the police now is not to protect the public from criminals. It is to control you and me and to protect the public officials from us. Should they go after the criminal element, it is only make work. Their main purpose is to control the sheep and keep the sheep from the wolves.

Sonny LoSpecchio had the solution to this issue.

“Now youse can’t leave”

A major reason why the “Little Italy” neighborhood in NYC was so safe for so many years.

I don’t see the problem here. They don’t need the cops. All they have to do is read Texas Penal Code § 9.41, which states:

“A person in lawful possession of land or tangible, movable property is justified in using force against another when and to the degree the actor reasonably believes the force is immediately necessary to prevent or terminate the other’s trespass on the land or unlawful interference with the property.”

Tell them to get off the land, and if they take an obvious step toward you, and they will as they are idiots, you are justified in using the force needed to protect your life and property. That’s where the concealed carry becomes the tool it is designed for. And if they stand across the street and yell at you, openly laugh at them.

If a few of these small minded fools get shot, they will not stay around. Problem solved.

I’m sure the “no bail” policies will cure this, just give it time, correct?

The owner could make a complaint to the Feds that the city of Dallas and its police are in fact attempting to create a protection extortion racket and force businesses to “pay protection”. He could sue under the RICO extortion laws and force discovery! Now that would make Dallas and the corrupt PD wriggle uncomfortably!
