I don’t see the problem here. They don’t need the cops. All they have to do is read Texas Penal Code § 9.41, which states:

That law works well in rural areas of the state where I live. It seems though, that in places like Harris county (Houston) and the DFW area, the local prosecutors don't seem to be able to read Texas Penal Code.

As the old story goes, I didn’t write it, I didn’t vote it in by myself, I just enforced my safety legally. Seems a shame as if a couple get capped, they will pick another place to play ‘tough guy.’
