At least 2 pneumonia deaths in Feb. tested positive for Covid19 posthumously. I think there will be more.

Link?

I show:

That compares with a mortality rate of 0.095% for the flu in the U.S., according to CDC estimates for the 2019-2020 flu season.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/03/the-flu-has-already-killed-10000-across-us-as-world-frets-over-coronavirus.html

So far this flu season, about 0.05% of people who caught the flu have died from the virus in the U.S., according to CDC data.

Agree that ground glass appearance on chest CT is not the definitive diagnostic test to determine if an individual is infected with a COVID-19. If however if a patient is seriously ill with respiratory impairment and a chest CT is performed, that ground glass infiltrate is almost pathognomonic of COVID 19 infection in the acute setting. CT chest scans are typically done in American ICUs in people who develop an acute pneumonitis wit respiratory impairment As the diagnostic kits become available numerous people will be diagnosed with CODID-19 “infection”. However not until there is a huge increase of chest CT’s with the ground glass infiltrates, the disease is not causing China and Korea type outbreaks in the United States.

I was wonder if someone in the high risk group would benefit from the pneumonia vaccine? Would this help a high risk person survival rate if that caught the coronavirus

Wife ordered some replacement furniture legs from Amazon.

I just checked tracking and got a shocking news, shipped with China Post. That’s right from China, clearing customs now.

Guess we’ll have to refuse delivery.

Here you go: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/

Scroll down a bit to Severe Disease in the P&I Mortality text box.

We’re losing valuable time. Longer we take to implement tough mitigation steps in areas of outbreak like Seattle, the larger, longer our epidemic curve will grow. Should we consider emergency economic aid for cities that implement tough measures to mitigate local outbreaks? 2/n

These outbreaks are local public health crises with direct national consequence. It’s a time for Congress to consider how we encourage states and cities to take tough local measures that sacrifice local economic activity for sake of nation. It’s time for collecting action.

So in light of a seemingly neuroinvasive aspect to this virus...lets revisit fanfiction..or scifi...or someone telling the truth about an unperfected bioweapon that escaped.....who knows still

Or a large number with ARDS no matter what the CT shows, which is a more clinically important indicator

It is definitely late, but I believe we have to try and stop the spread through travel restrictions. It does slow it down, we’ve seen that happen in other countries where they limit travel to endemic areas. Any slowing would help our healthcare systems

Spray the box down with something antimicrobial and let it ‘age’ in your garage for a few weeks, maybe a month.
