Florida as a dollar draw pose a similarity to the Amity Island tourist destination of “Jaws.” Nothing, and no one is going to shut down the revenue stream of the Spring Break season. The conflicts within the state government must be sparking a brush war between the factions.

So Italy's population having a greater proportion of the elderly is definitely a factor in how fast CoVid-19 comes on there per capita.
Public restrooms are basically death chambers for those over 60 because the viral loads in them, almost entirely due to fomites, will be enormous.

Hardly anyone is canceling spring break in Florida. I just checked again and spring break rates are still $300 a week for a car rental and near $300 a night for a suite class hotel. If it was that bad vacationers obviously wouldn’t be waiting on government action.

Wow—Unforgivable greed? I suspect there is an element of panic in your emotions. Try not to allow the virus situation to overwhelm you. Perhaps find a distraction from all of the news stories—a good book, movie, jigsaw or crossword puzzles. Focusing on every news update about the coronavirus is not healthy. Too much stress will depress your immune system. Do yourself a favor and take a break.

Thanks for the link blueplum. After reading Fury’s original link it was interesting the various ways that the different viruses are transmitted. Although I suppose there might be a distinction between the more “close contact” ones with the blood and fluids like Ebola and HIV and the more airborne types.
But thanks for an article specific to Covid-19. I convinced my wife awhile ago to wear a mask when going to high-risk areas, but she kept saying “well the CDC says...”.

5 New Novel Coronavirus Cases Confirmed in Contra Costa County

Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) has confirmed five new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in residents of the county.
Four are being treated at hospitals in Contra Costa. They had no travel history outside the U.S. or known contact with a confirmed case. The fifth patient, who had close contact with another person who previously tested positive for COVID-19, is isolating at home under the guidance of CCHS.
As of Sunday morning, Contra Costa has nine confirmed cases of novel coronavirus. One patient who tested positive last week remains in a local hospital, while three other previously identified patients who tested positive are also isolating at home. CCHS will not release further details about the patients to protect their medical privacy, including the names of the hospitals where they are being treated.
