I am pretty much done posting new stories on the main board.

Pretty much refutes the deep state conspiracy by pointing out that, duh...China would not shut down half of their country to satisfy our “deep state.”

We have heard the same old FluBro arguments here for weeks.

They are based on several logical fallacies:

(1) Focus on the death rate

This is a really dumb way to look at a disease where most people still have not even recovered from the first wave. In addition, the death rate is not a static figure. With excellent health care in place the death rate will be much lower than if the health care system is overwhelmed. If you "let 'er rip" the death rate will be very high.

(2) Focus on age

This is a dangerous and evil error--since overwhelmed health care systems will triage the elderly which will make it a self-fulfilling prophecy. If the elder stay home (which most are doing anyway) then they will just triage folks in their 60s instead of their 70s.

(3) Ignore the impact on non CV diseases, injuries etc.

If the health care system is overwhelmed many folks who could have been saved will die of other diseases/injuries.

(4) No politician would dare try to "let her rip" for very long.

The pictures of corpses being dumped outside hospitals would not be acceptable to any population. The relatives of the dead would turn into angry mobs very quickly.

The main board is full of rabid 75 year old flubros. I firmly believe most of them are alcoholics going through detox.

• They think this was supposed to hit everywhere at once.
• They think they are prohibited from going for a walk.
• They all claim they want to go back to work, and then in the next post tell you they are retired.
• They dismiss half the crap Trump says, yet they grasp on every word of his if they agree with it. The dismiss (correctly) inaccurate and bad science when it comes to everything else in the world..,except clinical trials, in favor of something non clinical people have "tested."
• They scream about not using a drug that is being used in 24% of the cases--without understanding the drug is not for everyone.
• They dismiss the word of clinicians, thinking they are out to make a dollar with more cases (not understanding how hospitals work.)
• They use more exclamation points in one post than I've used in the last year.
• All in all, I just think they prefer using the bathroom and NOT washing their hands.
• If the death count doesn't reach a billion, they will never believe this is "real."

  I've stopped engaging them. Unless it amuses me.

A week or so ago that "datura" individual called me a 'douchebag' and added that I belonged over at D.U. LOL.

The moderators were kind enough to remove his post, and that is a good thing.

How in the world does someone call another person a 'douchebag' ..... unless one happens to live with one or two of them?

There biggest insult is that you belong at DU. DU hasn't been an influential website in, probably, a dozen years.

I always remember these are the people who stood/stand by motionless as the country was given away. They conserved nothing. Not even public bathrooms. In ten years, if still alive, many of them will be advocating for tranny story hours at libraries much the way they now champion other leftist causes from 10-15 years ago.
