The Upper Peninsula and several counties in the northern Lower Peninsula will be allowed to reopen bars and restaurants in a reduced capacity, as well as other retail or office businesses, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is expected to announce Monday.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Whitmer said bars and restaurants in two northern regions of the state could soon reopen with 50 percent limited capacity. Servers would be required to wear face coverings and groups would be required to stay 6 feet apart.
“This is a big step, but we must all remember to continue doing our part to protect ourselves and our families from the spread of COVID19,” Whitmer said in a statement provided to the Associated Press.
Whitmer is expected to discuss the move during a 1:30 p.m. news briefing.

Meanwhile, here in The People's Soviet Socialist Republik of Connecticut, we can't even go to a hair salon or barber shop, nor a ton of other places. Restaurants can only reopen if they have *outside only* dining, and with a super-reduced capacity. Which will kill off most existing CT restaurants. It SUCKS here!

She has to make it seem like she’s in charge, since many are ignoring her “orders”.
You would think so. It astonishes me that some are such ideologue’s they still can’t bring themselves to see what she’s doing is wrong. Implementing the same policies today that were based on knowing nothing over 2 months ago is idiotic.
