Yesterday afternoon at a Long Island laundry mat, my daughter and I were busy doing a few loads. While I was transferring clothes into the dryer, the overhead big screen TV had CNN’s preview of the upcoming SCOTUS nomination. One of CNN’s panel began speaking about how he suspects Trump will not transition peaceably when Biden wins in November. I could not stand it any longer and with my outside talking voice, “Trump will not have to transfer power. He is going to kick Biden’s butt.”
An elderly black lady loading clothes into her dryer asked me, “You think so?”
“Absolutely, there is no way Biden wins. Plus, with Trump securing the court, eventually all this “Mail in” voting will be thrown out.
The black lady with a hint of a Jamaican accent said, “Listen, don’t tell anybody, but I am voting for Trump. He is a good man. But don’t tell anybody.”
Of course here in Suffolk County, the people preferred Trump to Hillary, but in many other areas, the love for Trump has grown tremendously. Maybe, just maybe NY can flip to Trump.
I’m in Orange County, CA (Yorba Linda,, actually, where they had a confrontation with BLM last night - can’t believe they would come to YL) and have noticed the same thing! American flags flying in neighborhoods like I’ve never seen on the 4th of July or Memorial Day....lots and lots flying Trump and American flags, but I’ve seen ONE house with a Biden yard sign, that also had a sort of virtue signaling version of the flag with lines like “black live matter” in the stripes, and ONE house with a Biden flag, that flew some other non-American flag on their flagpole. In this area, it takes guts to fly a Trump flag, but I take all the American flags as code for a Trump flag :)
Maybe some NY voters that previously thought their votes meant nothing and didn’t bother are hoping it may once again count. Something is up. Momentum for a winner is not an uncommon occurrence.
We’ve had our Trump stuff out for a few days now, at the house and on the car. Other than one brief issue that arose while in Ithaca, no problems here.
And the issue in Ithaca was quickly resolved when the approaching problem noticed I was in the car and taking her picture. Then she did a 180 and continued into the store.
we have a black veteran neighbor who flies the flag and has a Biden sign. so it’s not 100%, but i think the flag flying = Trump support.
LA county and the four boroughs of NYC gives the Dems the popular vote!
There are many, many Trump signs out in Upstate NY. The closer you get to the Adirondacks, the Trump signs are everywhere. Upstate NY loves Trump and we overwhelmingly can stand Cuomo!

It would sadden me greatly to think that a man who has the guts to serve in our military would put out a BiteMe flag for cover.

I know a GOP retired military guy that has a White, female who
graduated HS this year. There is a lonely “in this house......” sign in his yard, very close the porch. I suspect the household is allowing her tantrum to keep the peace at the dinner table.

How many elderly voters in particular will be scared away by the mobs and Covid threats on election day? Yeah, lots of Trump voters are hip to the virus exaggeration, but still.

Interesting Np. Nassau county is big. It was blue in 2016. All the boroughs line up with the 2016 Model including Westchester - blue

New York State is a lost cause..I left in 1980..
One of the most horrifying things of all is witnessing benevolent people utterly hypnotised by the ubiquitous evil that has afflicted America--from the shocking corruption of Washington, the news media, and academia to the acceptance of violence as normal.
Drug pushers prey on American children in their grammar schools. Illegal immigrants pour over the US borders and demand welfare. The streets of San Francisco are littered with human excrement and drug paraphernalia. Bolsheviks burn down America's cities, throw Molotov cocktails, assault police officers. The free press has become a shameless propaganda machine. Pornography is everywhere. Children are sexualised.
And millions of Americans accept all this as perfectly normal. They even support the Democrat Party, which is the party of decadence as well as the Party of Hate and Evil.
It's as though such people were hypnotised, sleep walking through the destruction of all that they hold dear and blessed.
I couldn't understand how George Orwell's nightmarish 1984 could possible come to pass. Now I do.

It’s a sad Testament to what our country has become when one has to be scared to tell others openly who one plans to vote for.
She acts as if voting for Trump is some sort of felony that one has to keep secret. Sad, real sad.
