COMMS Alert!! (prepare for plan B)
self | jimjohn

Posted on 01/08/2021 8:20:28 PM PST by jimjohn

Having no inside information, the trend appears that conservative networks are under assault. Now is a good time to have a plan B.

This is an alert to Ham operators, shortwave and low-power FM broadcasts. Frequency and contact info needs to be made available where possible. If you have a web site and/or podcast, please make your ip address available in case of domain blockage.

Any sensitive and/or peronal isnfo you wish to keep should be copied to local hardware. (get a min 2TB drive to backup everything).

This is not a drill or 'the sky is falling'. Do not panic. But Comm nets may drop at any moment.

Yes, It's time people. Doesn't matter if you were in Washington or now. 11 days to go, and they are scared of something.

More later - as long as we have signal. Have faith, and mount up.

AND-—IF they shut down all the nets-—all the school learning from home will cease & all the parents working from home will also cease.

I have MY records on paper & the computer I use to post & gather all the data has NEVER been connected to the internet. DOS system I bought in November 1991 that still works fine.

I DO MEAN MY RECORDS...I have them boxed-—back to 1963, due to different property ownership. I even have the ABSTRACT connected to a property In owned for 18 years. It saved the day when my brother-—who bought the property from me-—had a beef with the State. I had the records-—ON paper—that the State ‘mysteriously could not locate”. Saved him thousands in legal fees. AND HE BEAT THE STATE AT THEIR OWN GAME...
That is priceless.

Post your IP on the page somewhere, for folks to write down, in case of a DNS attack, etc.

No, don't do that. Russian Bots constantly scour the web for active IP's and do scans on them to see what ports are open for hacking.

Only a complete dumbass posts their IP publicly.

I don’t believe they (US) will shut down the nets in total.a) too much financial transactions. But it’s clear information networks that real Americans use are being compromised.

Like my daddy said: always have a plan B.

They’ll do bandwidth reductions first for blacklisted IPs.

I’m thinking civil war is imminent

If the Communist Democrats keep poking the Eagle like they've done with increasing fervor and accelerating persistency things could get real dicey real fast.

Russian bots don't parse webpages looking for IP address, though they do look for email addresses, etc. Russian bots scan for open ports for ALL IP address.

If you leave port 3389 open, they'll find it in about 24 hours and begin an attempt to brute force the password. Otherwise, any website's IP is simple to find, as long as they are still listed on a DNS.

To take down a website, like FR, the government blocks traffic through the DNS. So, when you type in www.freerepublic.com, you're out of luck, unless you know the IP address. Humans are better at remembering names, instead of a bunch of numbers - that' why DNS servers were implemented.

Get the word out that all future events Trump supports should wear ski masks to hide your identity, We found out in Iraq and Portland it’s impossible to identify individuals. Once this starts the Left will go crazy.

“please make your ip address available in case of domain blockage.”

I’m not a a techie. Make the address IP address available to whom? Why? How would it be used? (Sorry to sound ignorant.)

I got a RadioOddity GS-5B as a Christmas gift. I’m brand new to this type of communication.

Any advice on how to be up and able to at least listen would be very helpful. Thanks.

you wrote: I’m not a a techie. Make the address IP address available to whom? Why? How would it be used?

Good Question. Every website you visit has a domain name (a.k.a URL), e.g. FreeRepublic.com . That name is in fact, and alias of a certain ip address. when you type in a URL, the geek stuff in the background says ‘take this user to IP address xx.xx.xx.xx - whatever that set of numbers are.

The relationship between the URL and the IP address is stored somewhere, and the owner of the URL/name pays for the right to use that name. If a company that holds that relationship decided to become ‘woke’ and deny the use of the domain name, typing in the IP address in your browser will land you to the same destination.

Hope that makes sense.

Every brand is different. I’m learning now, too. Look for online groups.
