COVID-19 vaccine developer Novavax has started a new trial for a vaccine that would combine the flu vaccine and the COVID-19 vaccine, Reuters reports.
The trial will include 640 healthy adults from 50 to 70 years old who either were infected with COVID-19 or received the COVID-19 vaccine, according to Reuters. Participants will receive a combination of the NVX-CoV2373 COVID-19 vaccine and the NanoFlu influenza shot.
“Combination of these two vaccines ... may lead to greater efficiencies for the healthcare system and achieve high levels of protection against COVID-19 and influenza with a single regimen,” Gregory Glenn, president of Research and Development at Novavax, said in a statement, according to Reuters.
Experts previously told Politico that the Novavax vaccine will be a popular option in the U.S.
“I do think it’s going to play a larger role,” said Lawrence Gostin, a global health law professor at Georgetown University, according to Politico. “In the short to medium term, at least, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has taken a reputational hit and people are more hesitant to take it. In addition, J&J has had major production problems at its Baltimore plant. And as a result I think Novavax is going to be a reasonably significant player.”

We just want the Novavax COVID vaccine. So far, it’s been shown to be safe.
Hope it’s not a combined Covid/flu vax, if it’s ever approved here.
WHAT? Is there no vaccine that will ever be safe? I thought novavax used a dead virus like most traditional vaccines.
I just don’t want one that travels throughout me and causes problems.
Gee what could go wrong???
the vaccines are safer than the virus :) You can probably find other links but here’s an overall description:
How does the Novavax vaccine work?
The Novavax COVID-19 vaccine contains a protein (made using moth cells) plus an adjuvant (made from tree bark). An adjuvant is an ingredient added to boost a person’s immune response, creating higher levels of antibodies.
The Novavax vaccine uses a telltale piece of the coronavirus: the notorious spike protein. All alone, the spike protein is harmless and can’t cause COVID-19. When your immune system encounters the lonely spike protein, it produces antibodies against it. This gives you protection against future COVID-19 infection.
“Unlike mRNA vaccines, the spike protein is already premade in the Novavax vaccine. It’s a shortcut,” explains Dr. Florescu. “All the synthesis happens outside the body and we just give the end product: the spike protein.”

Used murdered baby cells. No can do
OK. But what about the studies that show the spike proteins can travel throughout the body and build up little dams in our capillaries that force the heart to pump harder and harder to the point that in about 3 years there is a mass die off from pulmonary hypertension? Not to mention all the other people who are dying off much earlier from these jabs for a variety of reasons? They are saying the “vaccine” itself is a poison.
But I’m not necessarily an anti-vaxxer. I got the J&J and I have seen that COVID isn’t a hoax at all - it’s killing people - thanks to Fauci and associates.
I don’t believe any of that myself. There are coronaviruses that can cause the common cold and flu - they have spikes and we don’t die from them. The virus changes the red blood cells and makes them tend to stack or do weird things. I’d be more worried about that causing clots in capillaries. The body has macrophages that are like pacmans that go around and eat debris and garbage. There are some people with ‘long covid’ who have breathing issues (suddenly short of breath) for six months or a year after recovering. I don’t think 3 years from now anybody’s going to get vaccine lung issues, tho - that rumor started with 1 year then 2 years, it keeps moving.
Because JJ was a little late to the game, it was trialed against variants instead of just last years covid. I think it’s a good vaccine. Hard to find, tho. JJ should have a booster coming out, but the first I heard it’s 8 months after the first one, maybe longer?
Prove it, Novavax.
And your point is ???
Maybe they aren’t getting as much $$$ from Fauci & Friends.
Post 12-
This is a keeper post.
Thanks for the good work.
A batch of data in one place.
Yes, and these are the regular, typical vaccines we were all raised on — like smallpox. Get a shot and your body learns how to fight it practically forever.
I’ve taken such shots over the years — except for flu. Flu shots are crappola since the Pharm companies only target ~6 variations and there are dozens. So, those are 10-40% effective. I will not take a mRNA shot, since that cannot act as a vaccine — unless you accept the CDC re-definition of vaccine to explicitly include the fake vax “protection” in lieu of immunity. For protection, I would do the Iver++ combo.
If you are vulnerable (like shingles) by all means take a proper vaccine. But, mRNA is a targeted treatment, that is not a vaccine.
Maybe they couldn’t find anyone with the real covid.
I’d like to take a CCPvirus “vaccine” that was 100% saline, given in 0.5cc doses.
Next time you go to the doc have them run an antibody test on you. I did and have really low antibodies. My best friend got the J&J 3 months after I did in a different location. So you know they’re different lots. I told her about my antibody test so when she went to her doc she had him run an antibody test on her. Same results as mine. What the heck?
A celebration of modern medical science.
Mmm good. Can I get mine in a donut?
I will consider the Novavax too - after looking at the data of course. It is a finite number of these spike proteins. Not the MRNA crap that programs cells to make God knows how many of these proteins in a potentially unlimited number of cells.
But not because of any mandate. More so because the China Virus is no joke and I have a couple comorbidities.
I am also stocked up on ivermectin and will jump to get Regeneron at the first hint of the coof.
