Dear L Dotters. We are heartbroken. Our beloved Lucianne passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones in her own home, the way she wanted. But she has left a whole in our lives that we can never fill completely.
Lucianne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a patriot who expressed her love of this country with both political fierceness and penetrating wit.
In that part of her world this site became her home, her community, and her voice. She also wanted Lucianne.com to endure and she made arrangements that it would do so - just as it has for the past 25 years. The same loyal staff, the same policies, and the same principles. ( And before you ask, her son Jonah will not be involved. She loved her son without reservation, but they saw politics differently from time to time. So, we've worked it out. The Lucianne.com team will stay on and Jonah will stay out of it.)
Obviously, no one can replace Lucianne. But we can carry-on in her name. We're not asking you to send money or make donations to anything. We're just asking you to stick around. We think that's the best way to honor and keep her memory alive. Please keep her light shining.

I never knew about this. I just visited the site and it looks pretty cool.
Sometimes I don’t find out about somebody who’s cool until that person is gone. It’s a bummer.
Her founding of Lucianne.com was a bit contentious, but in the long run it is to the good to have more independent online conservative forums.

Jona Goldberg is her son who has turned out to be a HUGE disappointment part of the Lincoln project!!!

Goldberg was a prominent presence on the conservative website, Free Republic in the late 1990s, posting under the name “Trixie”. She and other conservatives, including Matt Drudge, left the site when the webmaster, in Goldberg’s words, “let all the Y2K, gun-nut, Jew-baiting crazies take over [the forum] and flame the plain-old conservatives”.[33] She then founded her own website, “Lucianne.com”,[33][34] and for a time, was a nationally syndicated talk radio host whose show featured a Washington correspondent.[35]
Goldberg was portrayed by Margo Martindale in season three of American Crime Story, Impeachment.[36]

Correct, she also got into a fight with management here and left mad. I think that was in 1999, she was a big supporter of the Bush family IIRC.

She wanted FR to be more heavily moderated. The rules over there were strange and hard to follow. They seemed intended to turn Ldot into a information resource rather than a forum.
