resident Biden's 81st birthday ushered in even more conversations surrounding his age and declining cognitive acuity, two things Texas Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician, believes are valid causes for concern.
"[The decline is] happening quickly," Jackson told "Sunday Morning Futures" guest anchor Sean Duffy.
"Like you said, I've taken care of three presidents… so I know firsthand what it takes to be the commander-in-chief and the head of state. It's a grueling job, both mentally and physically. This man can't do the job. He's proven to us every single day that he can't do the job, but this is going to get worse."
Jackson served as a physician under the Bush, Obama and Trump administrations and has previously sounded the alarm over Biden's cognitive acuity, even demanding he take a cognitive test or drop out of the 2024 race.
Jackson said the decline has been evident for some time, looking back on Biden as a candidate before his 2020 match-up against then-president and current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, whom Jackson has endorsed for their 2024 rematch.
"It's just unbelievable how much he's degenerated just during his time in office. We cannot afford to have this man in office for the remainder of this term and then [for] another four years after that. He's already putting us at great risk right now," he said.
Meanwhile, young voters lament the president is "out of touch" with everyone as his support among Gen Z voters – a crucial demographic for Democrats – erodes in recent polls.
One recent NBC News poll, for instance, indicated that Trump leads Biden by four percentage points among registered voters between the ages of 18 to 34.

It is horrible watching a parent fall ever deeper into dementia. Physically. My mother and father in law are healthy.
But mentally, there is nobody home upstairs.
1-5 years of watching a loved one lose it is tough.
She spent about a month with us to have her carpal tunnel syndrome repaired.
My wife was still working, and I was the watcher and caretaker during my wifes day shifts as an RN.
Around my wife and her friends, she seemed great, alone and around me the dementia was taking over.
She really lost it after her wrist surgery. Again most of her losses were during the day while my wife was working.
My wife refused to use her great RN observation skills until the last couple of days, before her mother went home.
I tried to warn my wife’s brother and his wife, who was also an RN.
After about 3 days/nights back home and staying with her son and DIL, they woke up to reality. She was diagnosed by her FP and a neurologist as an elderly woman, with severe dementia and getting worse daily.
They were able to trade her 2 story home for a smaller one story home and get cash to help with the dementia expenses.
One day she got into her car and drove miles to take a driving test for seniors and aced it.
Then, she drove not to her current home but her previous home and her son had to come get her and her car.
Finally, they got her into a dementia/alzheimer’s nursing home. My wife got a call from her SIL telling her to come home to say goodbye to her mother.
My wife flew back and spent a couple of days/nights with her mother. Luckily one day her mother woke up to reality and had a great discussion with my wife for about an hour. Then she lost reality again.
My wife flew back to our west coast home, and her mother died shortly after.
We have seen a handful of people lose their mind totally with basically no warnings.

I basically agree with you. I mentally construct scenarios where SloJoe doesn’t run but none seem that plausible.
Compare him to videos just four years ago. The downhill slope is increasing.

I can’t believe that all democrat representatives, the Cabinet members, every U.S. Department head, and the media are treating an obvious dementia-riddled President as if he is in the prime of his life. They pretend he is making all the decisions while everyone knows that at this point, he can barely read the notes or teleprompter. And, he has to be drugged up to manage even that. This just lets us know that what is planned for our nation is not good. Not at all. “They” have a plan and the well-being of our country is not part of it. The obvious invasion at the border while Mayorkas tells us the border is secure is a major clue that something nefarious is going on that will culminate in the destruction of the U.S.
I’m pretty sure he didn’t write that. He probably couldn’t remember his own name.
We’ve all seen how confused he acts when he’s just on camera for a few minutes reading from a teleprompter. Imagine what other world leaders must see when they are meeting with him behind closed doors for a couple of hours at a time.
