Senators, don’t pass the defense bill without FISA reform
The Blaze ^ | 11 Dec, 2023 | MIKE LEE

Warrantless “backdoor” searches of Americans’ private electronic communications under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act are modern versions of the general warrants used and abused by King George III.

The FBI has used Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to conduct warrantless “backdoor” searches of the private electronic communications of American citizens. It has done so, moreover, not just sporadically and by accident but quite deliberately and on hundreds of thousands of occasions.

SNIP

A shameful ploy

John Wilkes would be shocked by FISA 702, which the FBI has used hundreds of thousands of times to spy on Americans without a warrant. There have been essentially no consequences for the agents and agencies who repeatedly violate the Fourth Amendment.

As a lawmaker and an advocate of liberty, he’d be appalled that the U.S. Congress is preparing to reauthorize FISA 702 — without a single reform.

Congress is making this decision not on its own merits but as part of a last-minute addition to the 3,000-page National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2024. Congress is obscuring its own indefensible actions by hiding this provision in a lengthy “must-pass” bill dealing with other, far less controversial matters.

Shameful.

There are currently two meaningful FISA reform bills before Congress: the bipartisan Government Surveillance Reform Act that I introduced with Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), and the End Warrantless Surveillance Act by U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), which has already passed the House Judiciary Committee by a vote of 35-2.

I humbly implore my Senate colleagues — and our counterparts in the House of Representatives — to remember the lessons learned from John Wilkes and North Briton No. 45. Do not rubber-stamp this continued FISA abuse as part of the NDAA.

Those who would like to implement a Social Credit Score system in the USA will need the same type of electronic surveillance systems used in China. I think that every aspect of FISA needs to be eliminated to throw a monkey wrench in the gears of the Social Credit schemers.

I’m sure that NSA has been monitoring, sifting and storing every single byte of electronic communications in this world - routinely. It’s why they had to build that mega-memory death star installation out in Utah.

They do it without benefit of FISA but use it when they run across something interesting or that fits their political bent.
Then they trot over to the FISC which rubber stamps their ‘warrant’ and off we go.

FISA should be repealed and the FISC disbanded.

I can’t believe Mike Lee, R-UT, wrote this. I agree with him, or he—on this issue—agrees with me.

Not going to allow more tech workers from India, Mike, we have enough Americans who need the work, but on FISA, he’s right, it’s crap!

Still, to this day, the SCOTUS has not addressed the actual lies told to this court to get a warrant on Trump’s people. To this day-—nothing.

Once again, the govt is aligning itself against we, the people, in order
to carry out spying and other rights violations against US citizens.

HAPPENING NOW-—A bipartisan group of senators is quietly trying to renew Section 702 of FISA for 12 more years by slipping it into a “must-pass” defense bill.... the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)..... which is set to expire on Dec 31.

REFERENCE-—Section 702 is a key provision of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 that permits the government to conduct targeted surveillance of foreign persons located outside the United States, with the compelled assistance of electronic communication service providers, to acquire foreign intelligence information.

call Congress NOW

MESSAGE-—DO NOT renew 702. Let it expire December 31st, PERIOD. It expires if they do nothing, which is exactly what they need to do.

702 is the most abused section of The Patriot Act (*spit*), allowing the secret spy court (FISA) to allow unlimited spying on anyone the DOJ (FBI) wants without telling anyone. They created giant databases of everything electronic on everyone, and individual agents can go into them and track ex-wives, their neghbors, Presidents (Trump), their families, friends, anyone.

The whole Russia Colusion Hoax was so they could spy on Trump, using 702.

Call them now!

(202) 224-3121

Tell them your state and zip, they’ll connect you.

The Biden WH....citing “privacy loopholes” has been sidestepping the Fourth Amendment
<><>Biden is paying AT&T for surveillance
<><>Biden’s fed/state/local l/e apparatus gets warrant-less access to private phone conversations
<><>Biden gets phone records of Americans who are not even suspected of a crime. Biden goes way beyond the NSA’s official metadata collection program.

Initiated by Obama, this secret dragnet surveillance program (formerly known as Hemisphere and now dubbed Data Analytical Services) uses its association with the White House to sidestep a vast array of privacy and transparency laws.Biden’s “mass surveillance” is one of the major keys globalists rely on to enforce its current and future mandates.

NOTE: This is not unlike the level of surveillance
conducted in the Soviet Union and E. Germany in years past.

The Obama/Biden construct, however, is lightyears more invasive and broad based.

Raw intelligence is routinely gathered by the IC. Actionable intelligence, gleaned from raw intelligence, is used in counter intelligence ops. FISA 702 is only formalized when they wish to charge you or protect themselves from FOIA requests or lawsuits. Like most everything the Feds do the system is ass backwards Constitutionally speaking.

What’s next we must carry our papers with us at all times so the Intelligence Surveillance can check them and must be used to cross state lines.

Unless you crossed the Mexico and Canada border.

It’s getting more like the U.S.S.R. by the day under democrat rulings.

What will be next is that you are required to carry your cell phone everywhere you go. That way your movements are tracked and all conversation is captured and AI analyzed, even if it is not on a phone call.
