A female DoorDash driver has been carjacked at gunpoint by an 11-year-old child in Virginia, according to police.
The alleged victim, Deon Smith, was robbed at gunpoint by the young boy.
She was making a delivery in an apartment complex in Richmond, according to the New York Post.
Smith told Scripss New Richmond that the incident occurred along the 400 block of Westover Hills Boulevard.
She was allegedly robbed by an 11-year-old boy and his accomplice Jahlia Henley, 18.
Smith said she had been working as a delivery driver while trying to find full-time as a home health care nurse.
She reportedly said she thought the young thugs were begging for money when they approached her.
“But little did I know he was pointing a gun at me asking for my keys,” said Smith, according to the outlet.
The situation reportedly escalated when the older suspect allegedly pointed a gun at her and demanded her car keys.
Smith recalled being held at gunpoint by the youngsters, saying:
“When he told me that he was going to shoot me, I was like, ‘Are you serious? You want to kill somebody at your age.’”
The suspects fled in Smith’s vehicle, the Post reported.
Officers responded to the scene on a report of a robbery.
Her car was later found crashed and burned in a rural area.
Both suspects were reportedly transported to medical hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
They have been charged with robbery, according to police reports obtained by the Post.
The loss of her car has impacted Smith’s ability to get to her full-time job as a home health care nurse and to take care of her 10-year-old, she revealed.
She had just recently paid off her car.
A GoFundMe was started to assist Smith and her 10-year-old daughter following the carjacking.

At some point Uber and delivery crews will become two person teams with one member literally riding shotgun, as on the stage coaches of old.
