You have to love it when someone reassures you of some threat, then says he’ll do something about it...and never does.
And by love it, I mean absolutely loathe it.
That’s exactly the position that the DHS and the FBI have put themselves in. They’ve warned Americans that there could be some kind of terror threat due to the ongoing Israel/Hamas war, and said they would be monitoring the situation, but they’re doing little else to actually secure our borders or keep our street safe.
“But we got your back, guys!” Sure.
In a statement made a little while back, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security announced potential “heightened” threats to public safety this holiday season, believing there are some extremists out there in the United States who could do harm due to what’s happening with the war.
“We take all potential threats seriously and will work closely with our law enforcement partners to determine their credibility, share information, and take appropriate action,” the bureau noted.
That’s great. But...is that enough?
Over the last few months, I’ve seen a disturbing trend that’s still going on, and while the FBI and DHS insist that the matter’s in good hands, I’m not so sure.
That’s because, over the past few months, neither department has really done anything in terms of securing our borders. There hasn’t been any talk about hiring additional Border Patrol agents to keep migrants out, nor has there been any discussion — aside from a quick promise by President Joe Biden — about fortifying it.
Not only that, but Biden has flat-out refused to visit the border in any capacity to see what’s going on firsthand. His administration has also gone as far as to condemn the Republicans who actually cared enough to go down there

But the FBI is on the case! Maybe raid a home or two and find an Advent calendar or a rosary!

As a result of this the DOD no longer has any confidence in the FBI and DHS in dealing with terrorism.
For me, June and early December are when I examine my readiness for emergencies.
Some things need doing like charging lantern and flashlight batteries anyway and before July 4th and before Christmas seem to be good terror prep date choices.
What’s going on? Has there been a sudden rise of Christian parents attending school board meetings?
They of course mean soccer moms and concerned fathers who show up at school meetings here in the US. “Domestic terrorists” according to the left

They have been distracted and bogged down in political intrigue lately, with national security interests subordinated to a low priority. I guess they figure any terrorist events can be addressed with a response from their propaganda apparatus. That’s becoming a trend in government.
Useless.
Information that is not actionable.
But here’s why. The threat is Islamic terrorism and if you articulate the name and face of the threat or mention the likely targets etc. it all goes against the FBI’s political course since Obama where Islam was no longer to be looked at as a threat.
Behind the curtain the FBI surely knows the threat fairly well.
They will share much of that information with the Intel and law enforcement partners.
It’s just that (((YOU))), Joe public, are not supposed to hear that there is an Islamic based threat. It’s not PC to say that publicly ever since Obama when Intel analysts got fired, training manuals and briefings removed, the term GWOT was banned in official language...
(((YOU))) are supposed to feel happy about your Syrian or Palestinian neighbors and not be concerned.
The state knows nothing but doubling down and force. This big cooker is going to blow soon. I think despite the unnecessary reality of that happening, that may have been the plan all along.
Still deciding what events they will stage in the coming days...
