The Harvard University board is under pressure to resign over its handling of the anti-Semitism furor.
In the wake of burgeoning calls for Gay to resign, faculty members are now also turning the spotlight on the other 11 members of the Harvard Corporation - the Ivy League's powerful governing body which continues to support her.
One professor has even suggested an overhaul of the governance structure to give lawmakers the opportunity to appoint board members who represent the public interest, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Meanwhile, the former Harvard Medical School dean Jeffrey Flier said he told board members Tracy Palandjian and Paul Finnegan to do more to address the ongoing turmoil surrounding the school.
'You need to be more out front of this,' Flier recalled telling the execs, as he spoke with the New York Times. 'If people are saying the university is making mistakes, they are talking about you!'
'They're under pressure, that's obvious,' Flier added while speaking with the WSJ.
'They are the fiduciary body and no one will deny that Harvard's reputation has taken a very substantial hit in the world… It's on their watch that it's happening.'
Professor Kit Parker said that the school faces a fork in the road and the board members must resign in order for it to choose the right path.
'The big question now is, how arrogant is Harvard?' the professor of bioengineering and applied physics told the WSJ.
'And when I say Harvard, I mean the Harvard Corporation. Do they think this is going to go away?'

I think your hearing may be acute. Protecting that ten-digit endowment is all that’s important. Some sacrificial victims are in order. It’d be a heck of a needle threading of the needle to dump board members while preserving the well connected black lady with the super smart glasses and evocative last name,
but that doesn’t mean they won’t give it a go
They are passing a new rule that Jews need to wear yellow stars on campus at all times.
Fine by me, the less money going to Harvard the better as far as I am concerned. Do the same to all the woke schools.
“I believe the solution is to demolish Harvard down to the last brick, and make it a free public landfill.”
Terrific idea.
Or the 88 Duke faculty who signed that letter supporting that stripper who lied about the Duke Lacrosse team - I don’t think any of them retracted the published letter they signed.
“The big question now is, how arrogant is Harvard?”
In actual fact (as my friends across the Atlantic used to say), the big question is about something other than arrogance:
What is the IQ of an institution that allows this kind of thing to happen?
So does the Corporation have shareholders?
The President of Harvard is a thief, a liar, a fraud, and an anti-Semite...in addition to being a racist (she supported illegal discrimination against Asians).
Therefore it follows that the Harvard BoD, which is defending her, are also thieves, liars, frauds, anti-Semites, and racists.
Congress should hold hearings specifically on Harvard and the BoD...put them all under oath, and make them answer for this. Then sponsor legislation to remove ALL federal funding, including student loans, from the entire institution.
Not on the Corporation, but multi-billionaire Len Blavatnik, one of largest Harvard donors, has apparently ended his support. Pressure building.
The president of Harvard said some reprehensible things.
The president of Harvard seems to be guilty of plagiarism.
>>> The Board at Harvard took no action, rather, circled the wagons around the obviously guilty president <<<
The Board at Harvard should be forced to resign.
FIFY
“I believe the solution is to demolish Harvard down to the last brick, and make it a free public landfill.”
Yes, get rid of those dormitories named for “distinguished people of privilege” and turn Harvard Yard into a big, public doggy run. .
The source of evil at Harvard is Penny Pritzker. Get rid of her and the house of cards tumbles.
I haven’t seen any discussion about the search firm that offered recommendations to the Harvard board. It is fairly standard these days to hire a search firm to go over major university candidate credentials with a fine tooth comb...
The entire board is a who’s who of woke liberalism with Obama ties and I’m pretty sure they are unapologetic and highly unlikely to ever ‘resign’. So good luck trying to shame them into doing the right thing.
Multi-billionaire Len Blavatnik is a Ukrainian Jewish Russian oligarch who looted the USSR’s aluminum industry along with Victor Vekselberg. He’s not just any multi-billionaire.
Uh oh, only the white ones will go.
Shows you how stupid the professors are. Harvard is a joke. They have been Bud Lighted.
Professor fired for faking research data; 6 studies retracted
nypost.com, Rikki Schlott, Published Aug. 4, 2023
Florida State University criminology professor Eric Stewart was a guru of the claim that “systemic racism” infests America’s police and American society. Now he’s out of a job on account of “extreme negligence” in his research. The academic was fired after almost 20 years of his data — including figures used in an explosive study, which claimed the legacy of lynchings made whites perceive blacks as criminals, and that the problem was worse among conservatives — were found to be in question.
College authorities said he was being fired for “incompetence” and “false results.” Among the studies he has had to retract were claims that whites wanted longer sentences for blacks and Latinos.
To date, six of Stewart’s articles published in major academic journals like Criminology and Law and Society Review between 2003 and 2019 have been fully retracted after allegations the professor’s data was fake or so badly flawed it should not have been published. The professor’s termination came four years after his former graduate student Justin Pickett blew the whistle on his research.
