Congratulations to a really good man and my cousin, John Forbes. Not only is he the 200th Grand Marshall of the best parade in the country, he's following in the foot-steps of his dad who was Grand Marshall 26 years ago!

Go to a St. Patrick's Day parade in Savannah, GA asap, no gay-pride, Planned Parenthood, etc floats. Family oriented (depending on location on the route) during the day, profoundly, "Irishly" festive at night. Home, Sweet, Home

Yeh, you go to River St. and it is NOT family friendly at all.

When I was a kid, we would park down by where the school is, and walk up toward the Pirate House. It was usually pretty relaxed there.

After I grew up, I usually would make sure I worked that day, or, the Cap’n and I would go to the beach instead.

We’re out trying to go cruising right now, and in the town we are in they try to do St Patty’s, but, they do NOT get it.
